Re: The "I Just Played an Awesome Game" Thread
Played Toledo in my EMU dynasty. Both teams were 4-1 in the MAC and this game would most likely determine the winner of the MAC West (this game ended up deciding the division). Oh man, was it wild. After breaking open a 7-7 tie late in the second quarter with two quick touchdowns, I went up 21-7 at halftime. Toledo rallied back with a quick strike followed by a pick six to tie the game at 21. It was a back and forth affair, but EMU scored with about 50 seconds to go to take a 35-28 lead. Toledo tied the game on a hail mary to send the game to OT. Each team scored a TD in the first overtime. In the second overtime, the Toledo kicker shanked an easy field goal wide, setting up a game winning strike from EMU to win in 2OT.
The final score was 48-42. What a wild game!NCAA 14 - Eastern Michigan Eagles

Re: The "I Just Played an Awesome Game" Thread
I'm in an online dynasty with three other friends. We play with IL4T and authentic's sliders. We're all in Conference USA. I'm Middle Tennessee State, and the other users are FAU, FIU, and UTEP. Final game of the season, MTSU vs undefeated and #5 UTEP. I have never beaten the guy who is playing as UTEP (granted, I've come close, blown early leads, and couldn't catch up in the end).
The way I play allows me to play just about anyone close, and I rarely get blown out. I made a custom playbook for both offense and defense, using a shotgun and pistol heavy playbook on offense and a hybrid 3-3-5, 3-4 playbook for defense. One of the formations in my offense playbook is Shotgun F-Twins Over, a wonderful formation with a lot of WR motion and option plays.
I start off, take the ball down the field but have to settle for a field goal. 3-0 MTSU. He gets a touchdown on his first possession, 7-3 UTEP. My next possession I make an ill-advised pass and it's picked and housed, 14-3 UTEP. I fail to move the ball, punt it away, and he scores again on his next possession. There's 2 minutes left in the 1st half, I'm down 21-3. I'm furious, frustrated, and just want to quit. But, I take the headset off, and concentrate on what I need to do to get myself back into the game. Next drive, I come out in the F-Twins Over formation, motion the WR to the right and throw the HB screen to the left. Jordan Parker takes it down the field, weaving between defenders, and scores. 71 yards, 21-10 UTEP.
I received to begin the game; and having three timeouts, I was going to make him get a first down to run out the half. He couldn't, and I got the ball back. A quick pass down the middle set me up about 41 yards away from the end zone. Betting that he was going to drop back in coverage, I called a read option. He did drop back in coverage; the DE stayed at home, so I handed it off to Jordan Parker, who took it the distance. 21-17 UTEP, halftime.
His very first possession in the 2nd half ended when he ran a triple option and pitched the ball right to my linebacker, who housed it. Just like that, an 18 point deficit became a 3 point lead. He methodically drove down the field and scored, making the game 28-24 at the end of the third quarter.
I scored a field goal on my next drive, and then held him to a field goal on his next drive. With about 2 minutes left and 2 timeouts, down 31-27 I got the ball for what would be the final drive of the game. Slowly, but surely, I made my way down the field, not afraid to call running plays for my star running back. The drive stalled out on his 21 yard line. 4th and 3, I decided to go to the end zone--he'd been pressing my receivers all game long. I thought maybe I could sneak one over the top. That's exactly what happened! Kilgore lobbed a ball up into the end zone and Kyle Griswould came down with it and held on as he was hit for the go ahead touchdown. With 22 seconds left it was 34-31, and I was on my way to beating a person I had never beat.
His final drive ended when he threw an interception right to my star cornerback, Sammy Seamster. One play later, the game was over. I had overcame an 18 point deficit to beat #5 and undefeated UTEP as well as beating this guy for the first time ever.
Sadly, that game only got #5 on my all time list.Comment

Re: The "I Just Played an Awesome Game" Thread
I was playing as Texas State vs ULM in my OD. ULM had just torched my horrendous secondary all game. I think ULM's QB ended the game with like 450+ passing yards and was something like 27-32.
But anyway, I was losing 31-21 in the 4th. I FINALLY made ULM punt, and got the ball on about my 40. I went down the field and got a field goal. With about 50 seconds left on 3rd and long, ULM throws the curl and I'm in Cover 2 Sink. PICKED! With no timeouts, I go down the field and score the game tying TD with less than 10 seconds left.
I go to OT. And once again... I can't stop ULM. They're destroying my defense. However, I had found a groove on O and was playing lights out. I ended up playing SEVEN overtimes. All but in one overtime, both teams scored a TD and got the 2-pt conversion. In the 4th overtime, I held ULM to a field goal. Of course, ULM shuts me down and forces me to kick as well. Finally in the 7th OT, I bring 7 on the 2-pt conversion and my nickel sacks the ULM QB. I went on to score and get the 2-pt conversion.
I was an awesome game and one I'll always remember. I think the Instant Classic score was in the 4000s.
Final Score (7 OT):
