Re: Do You Play Man To Man Or Zone On Pass Coverage...?
Cover Two Man out of the 3-3-5 or Nickel is virtually the only play I have any faith in. On obvious passing down I audible the blitzing backer to a shallow zone over the middleAnd may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

Man because I saw a WR get completely open after some guy in a zone didnt even go near him just because he was slighly outside the zone. i know that the point but it fed me upComment

Re: Do You Play Man To Man Or Zone On Pass Coverage...?
All depends on how good the TE or HB are on the other team.
If the TE is a top notch receiver, I go man with a CB on him. That's usually the position that kills me because how horrid the defensive AI can be.
If the HB is a skilled receiver that a team likes to throw to out of the Shotgun (think DAT, Malena on TAMU, Carey on Arizona), I will go zone, keeping corners in the flat on the side they line up on. Then just hope to hell receivers drop balls on the outside.Comment

Re: Do You Play Man To Man Or Zone On Pass Coverage...?
I run a lot of man with one safety deep another safety playing the shorter zone in the middle to help with the crossing routes (Robber out of Nickel). I do switch it up and run some different zone blitzes and straight up zone coverages. A lot of what I run depends on the situation, but I would call that Robber play out of the Nickel my base defense.
I like how changing up your defense in this game plays well. Older versions of NCAA I felt like if I changed my defense up it would hurt me.Comment

I only play vs. CPU in offline dynasty.
Probably play man 90+%. Try some zone in red zone.
I struggle with mobile QBs and spread option teams. A&M and SC really torched me, but I had Bama shut out until the last two minutes. My NCAA Football online forum lineage goes back to DaBirk and the ORIGINAL NCAA Strategies. I've been playing football video games since the Atari 400 -- in other words, probably before YOU WERE BORN! I am old-school.Comment

Re: Do You Play Man To Man Or Zone On Pass Coverage...?
Cover 2 man and the like are my base D plays, uside from that, depends how the game is going. Is the cpu in hurry up? Their starting qb just get hurt? Are thy backed up close to the goal line, in a long situation?
Just depends the tone of the game for me. Im either base, or mixing it up depending."Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory."Comment

Re: Do You Play Man To Man Or Zone On Pass Coverage...?
It really depends on the team I am using. I have used both schemes effectively, but as in real football, it depends on matchups. In general, I like to use a man coverage with cover 2 over top. I tend to use crappy teams, so I like to use this style to prevent long plays and force the opposing offense to march down the field.

Re: Do You Play Man To Man Or Zone On Pass Coverage...?
I use man qb spy against scramblers. Doesn't always stop it but helps. For zone I use cover two disguise I believe, the d tackle becomes the spyNCAAB: Kansas Jayhawks

Re: Do You Play Man To Man Or Zone On Pass Coverage...?
Depends on down and distance. On first I tend to mix it up, mostly man or cover two with some blitzes. On second or third and long I use a lot of zone - mostly cover 4 - to keep everything in front of my defenders.≡Comment
