Re: Patch Released?
The Read Option is so cheesy this year. It's almost impossible to stop if ran correctly. So overpowered.MyProject:http://sportsgamingzone.comComment

Re: Patch Released?
Observation on curls (and I'm familiar with this because it's very prevalent in Madden too):
What I'm seeing after the patch isn't that the defenders are getting back to swat or INT (although I did see one swat on a late-thrown ball by a CPU and it looked sweet) - it's that they're coming back to the receiver quicker after he makes the catch and gives them a chance to knock the ball out. Seen that happen twice out of four curls attempted.
Also, this being my first game back on NCAA since around release day (the No-huddle play window thing really killed it for me), I might end up getting shut out. I couldn't play a game without scoring 30 points on AA before, so maybe it's just me or maybe it's the defense being tougher. The matchup isn't anything to write home about - it's a random-selected Kent St. vs. USF (I'm Kent).
In any event, take that with a grain of salt since I haven't played very much.Comment

Re: Patch Released?
Fortunately, I haven't had too much issues against it. I'm aggressive on D and like to blitz on the account of dumb DB AI, so I'm sure that helps. I think option plays in general are a little OP this year, but it can be contained.Comment

Re: Patch Released?
I'm not noticing any difference with the read option either. Still getting 10 yards easy with the QB. And I just had David Ash auto-truck Jackson Jeffcoat, so I don't think that issue has been addressed either.
It looks like this patch might have just been for face masks or disco glitches. That would actually be in line with EA's past patches since I can't recall the last time they released a major gameplay patch without blogging about it first.Comment

Anyone else have any issues advancing an OD? Making me nervous to advance mine tonight!Comment

Re: Patch Released?
And after one game against Alabama as Mizzou on Heisman, with sliders to make the run game harder, it looks like running out of the spread is still ridiculously overpowered. I got to over two hundred yards rushing in the first half without passing on 8 minute quarters before just turning it off.
I still think CPU play calling is a bigger culprit than o-line blocking. No matter how often you run out of four wide receiver sets, the CPU will always stay in dime packages. They also don't seem to run blitz or stack the box at all. It's like they always assume you will pass, and even if the defensive front can get some push or penetration, it's too easy to run around them because of all the space in the middle of the field.
I'm probably done with this game in light of this not being fixed.Comment

Re: Patch Released?
Guys, the problem is using the read option against the CPU, not defending against it.Comment

Re: Patch Released?
I an live with the gameplay of what it was and any positive adjustment was a bonus.
My issues I hoped they fix in order were:
1 - Coach Experience points not being added in OD.
2 - no huddle against the computer in not being able to setup defense accordinglyComment

Re: Patch Released?
One thing I've noticed is I'm getting coverage sacks now. Wasn't getting sacks at all before unless I blitzed or the QB scrambled.Comment

Re: Patch Released?
Just so I'm clear, is this the kind of DB glitch you guys are talking about?

<embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/MyQBGWIjMn0?hl=en_US&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="315" width="420"></object>
(quality will improve in a few minutes)
And it's the frequency with which it happens (the deep man not getting picked up) that's the problem, right? It's pretty obvious what happened here - Safety picked up the short out and left the CB on an island. That probably shouldn't happen in a 24-0 game regardless, but I'll be watching that for the rest of this game to see if it happens again.Comment
