Well, i've seen a lot of 12MB updates, but I have a ps3 and this is what I saw.

12 MB was the XBOX patch. PS3 patches are uncompressed, and much larger.

What's more, if there were art fixes in the PS3 one (facemasks that people claim were fixed), the file gets a lot bigger.

Not a claim; it is fact, I am a PS3 user and the gray face masks are fixed as well as the ability to change player accessories.

Can anyone confirm if you can make a play on the ball with a user controlled defender? Getting so tired of getting my guy into position, hitting the button, annnd no reaction.....none.

Not a claim; it is fact, I am a PS3 user and the gray face masks are fixed as well as the ability to change player accessories.

FINALLY! The player accessories were driving me crazy!

And it's the frequency with which it happens (the deep man not getting picked up) that's the problem, right? It's pretty obvious what happened here - Safety picked up the short out and left the CB on an island. That probably shouldn't happen in a 24-0 game regardless, but I'll be watching that for the rest of this game to see if it happens again.

Not quite the DB glitch, because the glitch is more of a sprint from side to side (like a wind sprint as I call it). The route coverage is justified - just broken coverage.

Also, guys - if you're mentioning gameplay results - verify if you are using custom sliders or default. Because there are some things that have been there before with custom sliders (i.e. coverage sacks) or multiple fumbles, etc. I think it'd be best to test on default sliders and go from there.

Actually, a few days ago I played with MTSU at North Carolina, and like a fool I wore all white road unis. The game was played in a driving rain, and by halftime, all my players were pretty dirty.

So yes - it's already happening, even before whatever we received today.

We talking about without the rain. Football players do get dirty on sunny days right. Grass fields. Just not ncaa14, ncaa13, ncaa12.

Bad news... just got a very hard freeze while advancing my OD... not good

UPDATE: After a reboot of my system (no file damage), I was given a second attempt to advance, which took place without issue, a far cry from the last time I saw OD freezes (NCAA 12 - I skipped last year's because 12 was so disappointing, and nothing good was reported about 13).

Definitely a huge improvement on the PS3. Just finished 2 online UT games and it may not be perfect, but it's not blatantly messed-up. Overall I would say my satisfaction w/ defensive gameplay in-general went from a definite "F" to a solid "B+" May end up an "A" but I am reserving that for after I play another 110+ online h2h games.

Noted Improvements:
-Zone Defense
-Slants Routes and Screens are covered more appropriately - ie less BS catches in coverage/ total lack of coverage where there should be a defender or two
-Twice as many user picks and deflections (usually around 1-2 per game total to 4-5 per game *so far through 3 UT games)
-One on one tackling seems to be improved. ie defenders not bouncing off of ballcarrier for no reason

Playing a game now on default Varisty. NO SLIDERS!

Any sliders that have been implemented are CAPUT! Gameplay has definitely been revamped.

For the slider fanatics...let's the slider set mania begin once again.

PS3 user here.

What part has been revamped? Coverage, running, awareness, play recognition, pass rush, QB scramblers?

Playing as Minnesota vs. Penn State

I am Minnesota playing at home.

Unfortunately, defensive backs still back pedal and give the receiver 5+ yards of cushion on comeback and curl routes.

Halfback dive is still a 10+ yard play.

Once again I am on varsity default no sliders offense and defense.

cpu QB has been throwing balls over and under his intended receiver.

Ball still moves on ground after play is over.

Not to get too far off topic, but I cannot figure out how people run this. I always play against this guy who lives in man coverage and he blankets my WR's like crazy on this play. I also cannot figure out what man defense he is using because he jams every one of my WR's at the LOS in press. It isn't man under press because when I do it my CB with 90 press gets immediately beat by his WR of 70 release occasionaly.
