For running between the tackles tip:
Stop trying to bust everything to the outside.
    Instead look for the cutback.
Follow the blockers and look for the inevitable hole to open up on the backside.
You'll be averaging 7+ yards a carry in no time.

I used to do that my self. I found out tapping the sprint button and releasing it helps. After that you can do a few moves then tap the button again. If you hold the turbo button immediately after the hand off its trouble.

Yeah. The breakaway run is non-existent.

It took my pistol/shotgun/flexbone triple option/power running attack from nothing to something I could probably make an ebook that 12 year old kids will waste their money on.

Edit: Reading this sounds like I'm trying to brag or something - I'm not. I'm an extremely average player at best. Just trying to emphasize how easy running is if you change "holding blocks" to aggressive.
Are you seeing breakaway runs now?

I have my sliders set like this. HUM run block 15 RB ability at 35. CPU rush D at 95. I get break away runs of 45 yds. 60 yards has happened once or twice but that shouldn't always happen. I run a lot outside and cut back in. Use a lot of jukes and spins. This is usually against a lower rated team. Following blockers and not hitting the turbo button is how I do it. Average around 150-160 yds rushing a game.

Threshold for me is set at 25. I have a slider set in the sliders section called All-American Slider set for NCAA 14 I use. Has most of my changes except I think for what I posted in here. I change my sliders frequently.

No. I started off holding it, but now I wait till I hit the hole, then I hit the sprint/accelerate button.

It's taking some getting used to occasionally pressing it after years of holding it down.

What teams are you using and playing against? Has the Oline ratings? HB can be a beast. If your Oline is average you'll have an average run game in my opinion.

Penn State, with Zach Zwinak (power back) with O-Line in the 85-90 OVR range (this was over a few years of a dynasty). Mainly playing Big Ten opponents with similarly rated D-Lines. Since I had a power back, I played to his strengths by calling few pitches and a lot of inside handoffs.

                      Try the stretch plays.

If your RB has speed its way too easy.

I'm the opposite of you, I'm really good at running it but I can't complete a deep streak to save my life. (maybe it's the sliders I'm playing with)

If you cannot run the ball in this game you are sorry. Even with sliders turned slightly up on All American I am averaging over 5 yards per carry with every runningback on my team. My best RB is avg over 6 yards per carry. I can't adjust the sliders because its not my league but its definitely too easy to run on this game.

Run counters out of the shotgun, read option out of shotgun, learn to follow your blocks and stop holding down the right trigger.

Now if you have speed guys, then yeah spread them out. Use your speed with options and spread formations getting the guy on the edge. I think in this years game knowing your personal is huge.

I play Heisman/Heisman with user run blocking at 20 and CPU run defense at 95 and average 6-7 YPC running Oregon's offense at both UCLA and Kent State. I also have a guy in my Keht State league who won the Heisman at Temple running a pro style offense. So, I think it is more about skill than just the offense. The biggest thing I had to adjust to is to not use the sprint button until you're in the open. Also, be prepared to cut back or juke into an open hole. Running is different this year (actually more realistic) so you just have to adjust to it.

My concern is that it feels uneven. I can play 2-3 games with the same team and get difference outcomes with the same player. One game my RB will be really fast and the next game he seems to move super slow. I feel like its not consistent. Anyone else feel like this is happening?
