I guess no more uniform store updates

The series is dead and maybe the NCAA and teams won't give permission for uniform store for the rest of the season. Will they make all the dlc free as a thank you to customers or will they try to squeeze some money out still?

Good question, I'm hoping at the least we'll get uniform updates. Patches and added face masks probably won't happen.

Where was it cited that teams won't give permission to the uniform store?

I would say that whatever planned DLC updates will happen.

I don't know the logistics behind any of this, but couldn't they technically keep updating uniforms for this game as long as it's approved from the schools and nike, etc.?

If anything, I think there will be more uniforms store updates this year.

Just because they aren't making a game next year, doesn't mean they won't continue to support NCAA 14 with updates, patches, or DLC.

For reference, the last couple of lines from the statement by EA:
"we will continue to be connected and engaged with our fans who are playing EA SPORTS NCAA Football. Our decision does not affect our commitment to NCAA Football 14 and the consumers who love playing the game."

This tells me they plan on supporting the game as they had planned, regardless of the future of the series itself.

The EA Football twitter handle tweeted me saying they will continue to update this years game but didnt specify for how long. I know it's just words but at least it's something.

The game is licensed. . .if they felt like it they could release a GIANT patch that made everything say NCAA 14.2 with next year's rosters / ratings and charge everyone $60 if they REALLY wanted to.

It's not a dumb thread and calling another member's thread "dumb" is probably a breach in the decorum that makes this place so much more civilized than other message boards.

I was wondering to what extent EA would be supporting NCAA '14. Didn't they get rid of the entire NCAA staff? If that's the case, I'd say there would be no more support. I'm hoping for a uniform update that includes Western Michigan, my dynasty team.

at any rate, isn't the license good through june?

anyhow, all these dang threads coming out with links to EA stating updates, whatever, makes me want to fire up my damn OD again, i had painstakingly put on hold when the game was cancelled (figuring server shutdown was looming), and opted to start a regular dynasty. now of all things, i've got 2 dang different things going, both with completely different story lines.....

i don't know what game to play anymore......
