I played NCAA 11 with Classic rosters for 2 years before picking up another NCAA game (NCAA 14).


I'm having a blast with 14 using downloaded Alumni Classic rosters this year and I can see myself using the older teams/players from many years ago to enjoy this game another 2-3 years.


Properly created Classic rosters can add so much replay value to any sports game IMO because they aren't based off of up to date in season current rosters, new uniforms and schedules.


There's no better feeling being able to play Miami vs FSU and watching a matchup between Michael Irvin and Deion Sanders play out on the field.

We are in Off Season stage of seventh season. We look just for LEGITIMATE players that can take losses as mature people. Taken teams are:

LSU in SEC.
Ohio State, Purdue and Penn State in Big Ten.
USC in Pac 12.
FSU and Miami in ACC.
Texas in Big XII
Notre Dame

I'm prepared to play this game forever, if need be. I'm a big dynasty mode guy. I'll just run a really long dynasty or start new ones. I've been getting more good games vs. the CPU in this game than in any other I've played. I can see myself playing it a good long time. I'm probably not getting a PS4.

I just hope we can still upload photos from NCAA '14 well into the future. I hope the server isn't taken down. For people who play online games or online dynasty, I REALLY hope EA doesn't abandon the game entirely and take down the server.

More uniform updates would be nice, but I doubt EA will support the game much longer.

This. The game finally delivers something that is challenging. I do feel like I can dominate, but it's hard to cheese this game as much as any football game I've played, and even executing my best plays I feel like there is a reasonable chance a good team can stop me. Plus the cpu offense is actually a real challenge to defend for once, so not executing my best plays a couple times in crucial situations could really be the difference.

I expect i will play this game for a long time. First of all as you mentioned it feels like a challenge to play this game. I worked a while to get very good slider settings adapted to me (so i can have challengin plays).

What i now have added to really ensure a long dynasty is this:
I pick a certain offensive and defensive scheme (in this case a power running with p-a combo's and 3-4 defense). Then i started my handpicked/recruited freshman QB and play for 3 (or 4 if he doesn't declare) years in this system.

After the 3rd or 4th season i will be going for a completely different scheme, both offensively and defense with a new QB. And preferably one i don't have much experience with (in my case option run). That will be a new learning process again i would say.

I'm 7 years into my offline dynasty and I can see myself playing for quite some time. I think the only thing that might possibly dampen my passion for the game will be if I get fired from Alabama and then I lose interest when I'm forced to continue at a different school. Too bad EA dropped the option to turn Coaching Contracts off with '14.

My record for most years in an NCAA game is my 39 year dynasty with 2003. I probably won't break that record, but with no new game on the horizon, you never know....

I admire your commitment. Usually for me I get a couple seasons done before abandoning the dynasty for a new one.

I'm in 2025 of my current coaching career dynasty. I've been playing it since August, started off as the OC at Old Dominion before taking the same role at Texas, and made UNC into a dynasty as a HC before getting my dream job at Ohio State.

In two short years I turned Ohio State into a powerhouse and won a national title, so we'll see if this one keeps my interest. I'll likely be playing NCAA again next fall since I won't have a new CFB game to roll with.

I'll play it for awhile because I have no plans or interest in returning to Madden. If NCAA comes back, I'll be on board for the new one.
