When I was I think in High School I told a friend when I get older I won't still be playing games. Here I am at 51 still playing lol. I might even be playing more now since I'm a homebody lol.

I know nothing of Blacklover but DT was caught multiple times with ''hidden signatures'' in his rosters from other creators.

EA is putting in all the mechanics I've been asking for for years in Madden. It is as if they looked at what 2k has done with NBA 2k and did all they could to make those features for a football game. If it works, this will be the deepest and most advanced football game we have ever had, and one of the deepest sports game we have ever had. I'm beyond hyped.

Scott OG and crew lol. We do have to consider that this game will have had 3 years of development with developing with current gen consoles in mind, compared to other games that are on annual dev cycles.

One thing that is evident is the level of passion that is putting into this game. Matt Brown described it as "a love letter to college football fans". I just haven't seen this type of passion and attention to detail in Madden and some other sports games

I haven't saw Passion in Madden games since they got the exclusive License on lock🔒
They don't make love letters they make 3 yr promises on some 76ers trust the process type ish and by the 3rd year everyone forgets so the cycle continues! 🤦

                  For better word would be:
College is like the grandma that takes her time with passion and cook Oatmeal in the pot
While Madden is the family member
That cooks Oatmeal in the microwave
And we all know which one tastes better!

Indeed. The CFB25 team can bring potato salad to the cookout. Madden's team can bring ice.

48, will be 49 in September. I believe gaming is just always going to be a part of my life at this point. I can't play some of the newer shooters anymore but Sports games still can keep me going. And College Football's return will be a cherry on top.

I remember it. I use to chat via AIM with Linder back in the day and help get him roster info on certain teams. I don't know if he stole any rosters out right but I know questions were raised. But during my interactions with him, he was a good dude. Really enjoyed those chats back in the day.

I think EA is using College Football as a test for seeing if a longer release schedule is beneficial. I think if EA was smart, they would give us a new College Football game every two years. In between those off years, you have a big "content update" with updated rosters, refined features, quality of life updates. They would sell that update for $30 to $40 dollars.

It's clear the yearly release schedule that games like Madden and 2k are stuck in are not good for the overall product. If this works out for College Football they can turn to the NFL and NBA and say, "look this is the better way of doing this".

I don't think either one. I was in my early thirties at the time and I sent my memory card to Blacklover IN THE MAIL. You couldn't share roster files online back then. He sent it back with a fully loaded roster. My wife saw an envelope from "Blacklover" and had a few questions for sure LOL

Highly doubt they’d do this because the revenue hit is simply too big for a $35bn public company, but it’s an awesome idea. The game definitely has a 2-year shelf life with consistent patches and upgrades while a new, better, upgraded experience is every 2 years.

I don’t want to put this idea in their head…but EA could even charge like $5 a month subscription in order to access their upgrade patches (game fix patches should be free) to get a recurring revenue stream over 2 years before we all pay $70/$100 again for the next game.

The excitement level has been so high, it almost got to powder keg tension levels with the passion some of you guys bring lol. Thankfully for the most part cooler heads prevailed and where they didnt, the mods here have done an excellent job keeping the rest of us in check.
