I’m confident they can tune that. I just don’t know that they will.
Could be a result of the teams not recruiting all the 4-5 star players. You gotta think that if NTE was locked out of 98% of the blue chip players like he said, then that didn't leave very many for him to recruit and of that small number he saw 5-6 that weren't being recruited by the CPU teams.

Small sample, but if it is any indication as to what's going on with the other 98%, that could lead to the top teams not loading up on talent and thus being rated worse than they maybe otherwise should be leading to more losses down the road.

Or, it could be home field advantage is too strong in the sim logic and it is leading to these teams losing 3-4 games on the road each year.

Hopefully whatever the issue is, it's fixed in the day 1 update.

Also I’ve yet to see anyone playing against Notre Dame in an outdoor night game. But one guy played against them in a CFP domed neutral site stadium, and the helmets were very brown looking. Shiny, still. Reflective. But like a polished turd, rather than bright gold. Slight improvement over how bad it was in 14. During EricRayweathers uniform video, Notre Dame again had the brown color helmets in the selection screen. So it seems somehow, 11 years apart, they still can’t manage to make ND’s helmets shiny and bright during games without the sun shining on them. I really thought that would be fixed, and oddly, during their initial teaser trailer, their helmets looked beautiful and shiny during the run down the stairs. Then looked awful and brown when it was shown in GGB’s video doing the same run down the stairs. Why is this so hard to get right? Makes Notre Dame unplayable for me sadly.

I feel like if they are messed up it has to be a bug because graphical engines, especially Frostbite, are more than capable of displaying a metallic gold like Notre Dame's that look good. The reason they looked so bad in 14 was because that engine wasn't equipped to have the correct maps to recreate that type of helmet, but Frostbite 100% is.

Re: Issues we've spotted, what they impact, and how can they be solved.

I know everyone is pumped and understandably so, but even with all the time they had to prepare, there will be issues. And you all know that some will take a year, maybe more, to fix.

I think what I'm dissatisfied with the most, if some of these issues are true, is the fact that too many of the issues seem to be from NCAA 14. The fact that deeply rooted problems from that game may be on this one is disappointing. It's not to take away from all the hours these EA folks put in and be disrespectful, but it's surprising given the time frame they had.

Of the list of issues many of you are sharing here, the recruiting issues are concerning to that extent being mentioned. They put in a whole new format/system for a more realistic feel to real life recruiting, and instead, it could be more of the same issues from '14. As many pointed out, no 5 star is getting only 6 offers, let alone 0. Not happening.

I also hate to see that big-time schools are going 6-6 in the playoff several seasons in. Man, that's a bummer. Like several pointed out to begin the thread, team overalls are probably too high, or too close, without enough disparity. It could also be more confirmation that AI and CPU logic in recruiting and transfer portal movement favors the smaller programs, just like in NCAA 14. It's why Army would have three QBs 80 OVR or higher, while an SEC school wouldn't have ONE 80 OVR or higher.

These things are tough to read for anyone who is a dynasty person, especially those who are avid. It's why I would even buy the game. I may wait for more info because I need to buy a system, on top of the game.

Re: Issues we've spotted, what they impact, and how can they be solved.

It's week 3 in his dynasty here and the #1 overall player in the entire nation has 2 scholarship offers and one of those offers is the user team. That means of the 133 CPU controlled teams, 132 of them are refusing to offer a scholarship to the #1 ranked player in the entire recruiting class. The kid is from Texas and no Texas school is offering him.

This has the potential to be a huge issue if EA hasn't fixed it with the day 1 patch and can't figure out how to fix it quickly.

You saying this, in combination with the fact that they looked GREAT in the first trailer, makes me hopeful they can fix this.

Yeah, as I said a bit ago in the thread, this can't happen. We all have our differances about various subjects, but anyone who is a dynasty person should be able to agree that this is a BIG problem. Worse yet, it's an old NCAA 14 carbon-copy problem. Very concerning to see this still being a thing.

He's 2-3 weeks later into his season and the guy now has interest from Texas A&M including a scholarship offer from them.

It is nice to see the CPU teams being dynamic in their recruiting through the year. It's good to see another team show interest in the #1 player in the nation. It should still be significantly more interest from significantly more schools.

Take a page out of Choops 2k8's book and copy how the blue chip players in that game get suffocated by all the bigger programs. That's what needs to happen in this game. I'd rather the CPU cheat behind the scenes and get more resources than the user if it meant they could be more competent in recruiting and things like the above did not happen.

3 other issues with that picture:
                    1. The #1 player is a white WR. When has that ever happened? I thought they looked at 10 years of recruiting data.

                    2. The #1 and #7 players are both WRs named J Comella. Huh?

                    3. The #2 player is named Gupta. How many people of Indian descent play American college football? A few? When have we ever seen a top recruit be Indian?

A few videos already showing that Colorado is way overpowered. Agreeing with you all that a team's pedigree apparently matters more than their record, per the playoff selections. One of my main fears when learning editing might not be in (and there's confusion again, ugh) was that it would prevent us from being able to tame / balance that out like in the past (like I keep having to do each year in Madden). I'll be interested / checking to see if the coaches of high pedigree are also possibly why said schools with middling records get into the playoffs, still. List of things to test just keeps getting longer.

I'm not sure if he changed a setting that caused this, but in his dynasty his backups didn't accumulate stats even though he simmed many games.

The more of this stuff I see the more frustrating it gets knowing we basically have very little control over our own rosters even if play offline.

I fully anticipated making this my only football game this year.

But there's absolutely no way I can enjoy this game long term without being able to control my own rosters in a dynasty that doesn't effect anyone else but me.

I'm not seeing CPU QB's scramble in any videos. They are moving around in the pocket, but they throw the ball away if nobody is open even if they have clear running room. This was an issue with Madden that got fixed so hopefully the day 1 patch fixes it for this game as well.

Regarding the white WR. It is annoying to see that we're going to be stuck with player demographics not matching that of real life. They went through all the historical recruiting data and didn't decide to look at that? It's strange because Madden's generated draft classes follow real life demographic trends for each position, so it's not like EA is afraid of doing something like that.

This was something that was fixed with Revamped and made an actual big difference for immersion. I'd love to see them patch this in, but I won't hold my breath. For all the attention to detail, it's strange they ignored this area.

My concerns based on the CPU vs CPU videos I've watched

Middle of the field is wide open most of the time.

Player separation seems over the top. It seems like everyone on offense with the ball in their hands becomes burners leaving defenders in the dirt.

Hasn't really seen HFA cause in any pre-snap penalties which is concerning since these are college kids.

As someone else mentioned pursuit angles are bad in this game. Seems like this is intentional in order to create more wide open football on both offense and defense to have more big plays.

CPU qbs unlike NCAA 14 don't scramble and run which is even more concerning especially if they have traits that we can't even edit. Watched a Oregon vs Colorado game and neither guy took off all game.

If EA screws this up someone needs to be called out.....

Special teams return game looks non existent once again. A carry over from the older games which is kinda puzzling because the pursuit issues seem to be the opposite here.

Having said all that I can already tell this game is going to need some serious slider tweaking especially on the defensive side of the ball. But the CPU scramble issue might be something hard coded that sliders can't fix. Again EA better not have dropped the ball on this issue.
