The biggest thing I'd recommend is do you want your stats and total play count to match the sim engine? Or do you want your total play count to match real life? I've been so back and forth on it, but the more I think about it the more I'd prefer to match the sim engine. If you're a good team you'll probably win most awards and lead nation in many categories which would not be fun for me. Right now I'm OC at Ball State and I'm currently watching our final game (senior day) of year one. We are 2-9 so I'll not make my 4 win goal already lol. We just got a NICE deflected INT with another catch animation I've never seen before. The best new animation Iyseen is when guys are being tackled and reach forward for the first down. I've seen it done a couple different ways too.
Cpu vs cpu is a beautiful thing to watch on this game. I wish it were slower paced and showed more presentation is my biggest gripe. I don't have the sack issue like others on HB screens. Every screen I see is completed and usually for a good amount of yards. So idk what the deal is with that.

Cpu vs Cpu is so much fun. Its really the only way I play sports games now. I just dont have the controller skills anymore to actually play. Like DarthRambo said, I try to keep stats closer to SIM then RL. After all youre playing a video game not real life. I want my games to mirror what the sim video game is doing. That said, I also want ratings to matter over sliders. Im currently playing AA default with penalty sliders adjusted for gameplay. 13m 17 clock. Inj 50 / Fat 70 / ST 45.
When you start adjusting sliders to much, then you start playing to sliders and not to ratings. Building a team becomes useless (well more useless) because the game plays to the sliders and less to the ratings.
Either way you play or look at things, this is a great game and so much fun cpu vs cpuReally wish sports games played to ratings!

I havent either. I will see the occasional qb has to rush the throw and hits a lineman or the ground, but cant say ive seen them take sacksReally wish sports games played to ratings!

Not sure if it is a scrambling QB problem or not, but my QB at Ball State ran backwards and into sacks a lot. I'm curious if a higher awareness QB with scrambling trait does this. It is super frustrating because OL I'm trying to recruit are giving me F grade in play style because we give up too many sacks lol. Honestly, a better offensive line would help too, but running backwards and into the DE is still annoying. Seems like scramblers go backwards, while others maybe step up more cause I've seen that too. Idk I'm just taking a guessComment

I am solely and have always been a CPU vs. CPU player in all my various sports games. I wouldn't even know how to use a joystick to play a game.
I am very impressed with this game's CPU vs CPU presentation & results. As another stated "I only wish they would show more stat screens during the games as well as have the bottom score ticker working"
I have watched some 40+ games thus far and here are my "Average Per/Team Per/Game" results:
Rushing Yards: 88.5
Passing Yards: 260.1
Fumbles: .4
INTs: .7
Penalties: 3.8
QB Completion %: 67.8
Sacks: 2.3
Run/Pass Plays: 59.3
I am very satisfied with the above Averages and see wide variations in each from game to game.

Then that makes me feel I am on the right track ......... I always enjoyed your Sliders almost as much as I admired your fabulous work on Rosters ........... I am going to test reducing Speed Parity to 45 & possibly increasing Pass Blocking to 70 later today in an attempt to get better Kickoff & Punt returns.Comment

Anyone noticed that the team that you are controlling in CPU vs CPU always receives the ball? No matter what option I choice my controller team always receives first.

Yes, I'm very upset by the lack of presentation too when watching cpu vs cpu. They show the cut scenes and replays and in between play stuff in Play Now, but not in Dynasty. I've opened a Bug Report on EA's forum about it. Does anyone know a workaround so we can see the cut scenes and in between play stuff?Last edited by MikePGH2024; 07-24-2024, 06:28 PM.Comment

I can't from the pause screen--something I brought up earlier because I am not able to consistently pause a CPU vs CPU matchup. I paused one today near the start of a game and a little bit later, but couldn't do it after that.Comment
