I have an Ohio St cpu vs cpu dynasty I started the first night to get the hang of recruiting and have the games on when I’m doing stuff around the house. I love it so far. I’ve tried different slider sets and think I finally have one I’ll stick with until a patch changes. A lot of slider sets I used had awesome game play and realistic stats but I felt like a lot of games against lower ranked teams were too close or I’d even lose. Maybe I was being a sore loser but it was hard having a team 92 offense 93 defense losing two games in a season to two teams in the mid to high 70s. I’d say it could be the playbooks or something but it’s the same ones I always used which led to two undefeated seasons.

Agree with othere here, CPU v CPU was really great for awhile but the more games in you get, the more the warts start to show. I've had the same issue where my 91 overall team rarely ever puts away games and consistently loses to teams they have no business losing too. I typically don't buy into the whole predetermined outcome talk but I did have a situation today that had me really questioning it.
Played Purdue (low 80s across the board) and they did whatever they wanted to me and were up 27-7 late fourth quarter. I had been contemplating switching up QBs as I'm intrigued by both my backup and true freshman 3rd stringer. I restarted he game just to see how my backup would fare (only a couple overall less than my starter) and same thing basically, Purdue dominated although the score was a bit closer towards the end of the 4th when I decided to test it out one more time with the freshman. Think its obvious how the third game ended, another loss, somewhat competitive score but Purdue clearly outplayed us.
I don't expect the better team to win every game but I found it really odd that the clearly less talented team played like the much better team 3 games in a row with the same variables aside from my QB changing, though they're all rated within 4 overall pts of each other. Definitely had me believing the game almost predetermines (if no user control) which games your team's going to lose.Comment

I’ve had a really disappointing experience and have tried every slider combo on this board. All American settings by the way.
I would love to have the positive experience some on here are talking about, I just can’t get it to happen for me.Comment

Two things....
Switch to Varsity setting. IMO, this setting provides the most ratings based in experience in this game. All-American boosts player ratings for computer and is designed to make game more challenging for user.

Default Heisman sliders, play now:
Georgia down 28-6 at USF entering the 4th and tied the game at 28 to force OT. Etienne just barely got in for the necessary 2 point conversion. Final score was 46-42 Georgia. Was entertaining.Comment

I am really struggling in CPU VS CPU, I’ve actually had to take a break from this game. My team never plays to its rating and we routinely get beat by inferior teams. My opponent completes passes with ease while my receivers have defenders draped all over them, even with pass coverage and reaction time set to 5!

Thanks for that tip, but when you say "go extreme" you mean so that the speed difference is maximized correct? If so wouldn't you set the parity scale at like 5 or 10?Comment

I've got mine at 85 and I rarely have any 90 or higher overall teams getting beat much at all, but i have heard it said it should be the opposite and go lower like 5 or 0.Games I'm playing FOREVER: NFL2K5, That is all.Comment

I guess ultimately a minor gripe, but as an option guy who absolutely loves the power read it’s incredibly annoying to me that they apparently failed to code it into the game properly. The QB hands it off every time, even if they’re handing it off directly into an obvious TFL. Under no circumstances will the QB actually keep it, it’s basically just a running play where there’s a 50% chance that the play side DE gets a free shot at your RBLast edited by TheSimsFootball; 08-04-2024, 01:37 AM.Comment

This actually has made cpu vs cpu more enjoyable for me. The game still does it's weird bs, but my team's talent now more consistently overcomes it. Currently 4-0 for the first time in my dynasty, but I had to risk something, injuries galore. Lol.
