Does anyone have playbook recs for cpu v cpu just interested if anyone is running non team specific and getting more variety of play calls?

I’m sorry guys, I’m done with this mode until EA issues another patch to address this ridiculous gameplay. I’ve tried every slider set on here, and combinations of all of them. I’ve messed with the speed parity slider, I’ve messed with the penalties, and the realization that I have come to is that the game just doesn’t work CPU versus CPU.

1) Teams that are 10 to 12 points worse than me on offense, defense or overall routinely kick my *** in CPU versus CPU, even on my home field.

2) No matter what their ratings are, the team that I play against routinely gashes me for huge running plays because their offensive line blocks perfectly at the first and second level. Their drag routes are also unguardable.

3) My quarterback is too stupid to avoid sacks and instead runs directly backwards and takes 12 to 15 yards losses..

4) My quarterback only seems to have the ability to complete passes under 5 yards in length, most commonly drag routes or other check down routes.

5) The hyper turbo mode allows CPU teams to run 10 plays in 47 seconds. Incredibly unrealistic.

6) Several other things that make me want to place my controller under a steamroller and drive over it.

Sorry again gang, I know this is a rant. But until somebody is ingenius enough to come up with something that actually fixes these problems, I can’t support this game anymore. Bummer!

That is shame as i am enjoying the mode very much, it did take a bit of time to get good sliders so i feel a good balance currently 5-4 in 3rd season with Central Michigan but have beaten teams i should have and lost close games to a couple of teams not as good but they were at there home turf and it felt right!
Cannot wait to use the Screen pass work around of taking coach mode off, this my friend is a ame changer as i wondered why CPU team does it fine but mine is sacked all the time. This makes sense

Ea makes qbs so dumb in this game. When they throw curl routes every time, it's picked because they throw it right to them. On deep balls they always throw bullet passes instead of lob passes when they're going deep as it causesway more ints. I hope ea address this in next patch update.

You just make sure that coach mode is turned off. It’s a strange bug, but for some reason screen passes won’t work with it on. But turn it off and boom…suddenly screens work.

Couple of questions for you guys on how you do CPU v. CPU


1) Are you doing Play Now or Dynasty?

2) Are your settings the same for both your team and the CPU?

3) Are you doing Super-Sim Slow or Coach Mode?



I haven't started a Dynasty yet, but my plan is to do a CPU v. CPU Dynasty along with a User Dynasty. I've been Spectating in Play Now by both just keeping the controller in the middle and doing it that way, and also by doing Super-Sim Slow to make sure my settings are actually being used.

When I do Super-Sim Slow, I make sure the settings are the same for User as well as CPU because I honestly don't know which settings the game pulls from. Super-Sim is still "technically" a User vs. CPU game although you're watching instead of playing is it not? Whereas, the controller in the middle is strictly CPU v. CPU? I don't know, either way I try to make sure the settings are the exact same for both just in case.

Play now, Varsity, 15 min/15 ACC, CPU QB ACC 10, CATCH 40, PASS Coverage 65. Makes for wonderful, realistic games and outcomes.

Need help with something I assume is obvious but is eluding me. I enjoy CPU vs CPU and watch the games (Super Sim, Slow). How the hell do I stop the sim long enough to put in my backups. I just can't make it friggin stop and let me make the change. Any help would be immensely appreciated as I love the CPU vs CPU but if I have to watch blowouts all the way through every time I am gonna lose my mind.

I just can't make it friggin stop and let me make the change. Any help would be immensely appreciated as I love the CPU vs CPU but if I have to watch blowouts all the way through every time I am gonna lose my mind.

I am on PS5 and press O in sim game to get to sim menu press O again to get main menu then go to coaching and make changes. Then back to Sim option in menu to continue. Hope that helps!

Wondering if anyone’s tried doing slow sim until change of possession? Wouldn’t that give you options to sub, change playbooks, strategy etc?

1 thing i have noticed watching all games CPU vs CPU and am enjoying on the whole. But yeah there it is...My QB seems to throw far more interceptions than whatever team i am playing even if my team is far better than the other team i throw 3 or 4 a game and am lucky to get 1 Int. All settings are the same so not sure why! Various teams i have been with and various QB`s and still i throw many more than CPU team.

Same for me. The patch screw everything up I feel like because when the game came out the qbs played more smarter than it is now. I can't go multiple games with my qb throwing 0 ints like the other qbs in the sim stats man. I wish they could play just like the stats they're putting up. I've also seen when a pass rusher is getting to the qb, the qbs attend to panick and throw into double coverage or right to the linebacker, or corners. The qbs even throw right to the corners face when they can see that the corner is infront of his wr. I hope they can fix the qb throwing logic because without the patches the gameplay was way better.
