Re: Playmakers CFB 25 (Varsity & All American Simulation Sliders)
Played two games last night with updated Varsity set (but not the updated penalties).
Here are some observations :
One thing that completely changed from the original is the revamped passing.
With first set, Was able to get green/yellow passing but now all my passes are in the red lol
UCF(me) @ Tulane in the rain : beside one big play due to missed tackle, Tulane was shut out until the 4th where suddenly QB hit all his passes ( some 3rd down, 4th down and 26...) on 2 drives. They were on a heavy run gameplan until then (not efficient though)
They got the ball very late to tie but got a pick 6 (play was same screen that burnt me before so it was really cool)
They again got the ball last drive but I managed to get a user pick with a DL I sent deep in coverage (felt dirty on that one tbh)
Too many holdings and block in the back.
One DPI
On offense, passing was average on both sides (thought initially it was maybe due to the rain, would have make very much sense but next game proved me wrong) and correct running game (not OP on my side)
Overall, still plays nice overall.
Virginia Tech @ NC State (me)
Overall, same as above (gameplay wise), running game was good on CPU side and not on mine, so good to see this happen.
HFA didn't make much difference.
One thing that is VERY annoying though is USER (cpu controlled) reaction to a scrambling QB.Last edited by DomZ; 07-20-2024, 05:37 AM.Comment

For their passing game I'll need to revisit the USER pass defense settings. I probably have the coverages set a little high on this level for USER.
My settings are all tested in play now mode but it doesn't seem like Dynasty creates too much a difference in the gameplay unlike Madden where you had to do all testing in franchise mode.
I don't plan starting any defense until EA gets their **** together with the SIM stuffNCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

Will probably wrap up the Varsity set tomorrow and then begin the process of creating CPU vs CPU sliders.

Also, if I wanted to bump the quarters to 15 minutes instead of 12 would it mess with the balance of these? Thank you very much!Comment

Re: Playmakers CFB 25 (Varsity & All American Simulation Sliders)
The testing was all done in Play Now Mode.
As for 15 minutes you might want to adjust the accelerated clock then you should be good.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

Re: Playmakers CFB 25 (Varsity & All American Simulation Sliders)
UPDATED 2nd set of All American Sliders. All Testing done in a Play Now Mode
1st set will be for those who utilize revamp passing. Pass defense on that set is much tougher by the CPU AI.
New set was strictly created for Classic Passing. (Still offers a pretty good challenge especially if you boost CPU Tackle Slider up.
This set is going to produce some nice animations and the overall feel of the game is going to be the smoothest set.
Sliders were scaled back on both sides of the ball to provide a more equal setup for both USER and CPU.
All American Level (User vs CPU) 2nd Set
Created for Classic Passing Style and No Switch Defensive Rule
Camera (Wide or All 22 is recommended with this set)
Game Settings
Difficulty: All American
Quarter Length: 12 Minutes
Accelerated Clock: On
Minimum Play Clock Time: 20 Seconds
Defensive Ball Hawk: Off
Defensive Heat Seeker Assist: Off
Injuries: 35
Fatigue: 70
Player Speed parity Scale: 45 **(New Update designed specifically for this set)
Penalties. (Updated All Penalty Sliders)
Offside: 75
False State: 95
Offensive Holding: 55
Facemask: 95
Illegal Block in the Back: 75
Roughing the Passer: 50
Defensive Pass Interference: 95
Player Skill/CPU Skill
QB Accuracy: 5
Pass Blocking: 55
WR Catching: 50....(Helps to keep Catch in traffic ratings relevant)
Run Blocking: 5/45
Ball Security: 25/40...(CPU uses more spins and jukes in their arsenal)
Reaction Time: 40
Interceptions: 20
Pass Coverage: 35
Tackling: 25/40.....(Reduced down to compensate for lower Ball security Slider and open up more animations)
Do not let the lower settings fool you into thinking they won't work for gameplay just from the naked eye.
I will make this thread moving forward just for Varsity CPU vs CPU & User vs CPU. ALL American will be moved to a new thread Later to keep the traffic separate for each level.Last edited by Playmakers; 07-21-2024, 07:27 AM.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

Setting both User skill and CPU skill to the slider set for CPU in the first post of this thread seems to be a good start for CPU vs CPU games.Comment

Re: Playmakers CFB 25 (Varsity & All American Simulation Sliders)
Yes, I guess it's actually the 2nd post of the thread. The sliders under CPU skill, I entered for both CPU and User. It seems to be a good start, but the defense might still be too soft. One problem I notice, and I don't know if it will be fixable with sliders, is that when a team starts to pull away, they don't sub in the 2nd string, and they keep using an aggressive or normal offense, which causes the score to run up pretty high.Comment

Re: Playmakers CFB 25 Varsity Level Sliders (USER vs CPU & CPU vs CPU )
I've began testing on the CPU vs CPU settings
1st change will be Speed Threshold dropping down to 0
This change will take effect to make sure that the bigger programs maintain a speed advantage over the smaller programs.
Ball Security will be set at 25 to allow a realistic amount of fumbles to occur. This will not hinder the CPU's Running game.
QBA will be the key slider. The goal is to keep the percentages around 65% with a few off target throws that doesn't always occur via pressure.
All testing will be done in Play Now Mode and may vary between Dynasty. But I'm always feedback and stats. I can't say when I'll start dynasty mode because I know EA will eventually release a patch. So I'm not doing any sliders for Dynasty mode until they clear up their actNCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD
