Real Deal Gridiron 25 Heisman Sliders

Any feedback is appreciated. With this set I was aiming for tough competitive games on Heisman that did not feel like I was being cheated.

The set is not perfect or final. As always adjust to your play style.

Big thanks to Sim Gaming Network for their great work on the penalty settings. Their work inspired my penalty settings.

I posted some changes to the set. I am really having fun playing with these settings. Games are challenging but still fun and don't feel so scripted and insurmountable.

I use conservative for my Adaptive AI setting.

Will test again after next update.

I'm curious what was your reasoning for setting CPU tackling to 25?

To me the default setting of 50 for the CPU on heisman lead to every CPU defender, good or bad, being an elite tackler.

Did you change your auto subs as well? If so what are they set at. I know the main thing with SGN’s sliders was his auto sub setting.

Yea I'm starting to see what you mean, questioned it bc there are times where the CPU on both sides misses tackles, as in never even attempted to tackle but that might be a speed parity thing...still trying to figure that setting out. Thanks for posting.

How is the CPU pass rush?

I'm having a hard time with it. Have no time in the pocket.

My apologies for the delay in response. It's sports season for my kiddos so time is limited lol.

Tacbear I did not use the auto sub settings from Sim Gaming Network. I really only adjust rb and dline to try and get a decent rotation.

Pnubs I see the lazy tackling on both sides of the ball as well. It got better after the last patch but I have yet to figure out how to completely solve it.

SickDL Have you looked at your oline ratings? There shouldn't be much time in the pocket anyways but you might check your lineup. I know when I had a RT with terrible pass footwork he was getting destroyed and couldn't stop the quicker rushers even though he has a high pass block rating. I have to remember to make my line slide adjustments and sometimes keep an extra blocker in to help.

I'd like to give these a try.

Can anyone who has used them more than once post their biggest win/loss? I'm trying to gauge the disparity for challenge purposes.

Sliders played ok for me. I would say run block for the user was too high I like mine at no more than 55. Even at 55 still average around 6 yards a carry. And run block for the CPU is too low. I like that around 45. Probably could be even higher bc they really cant run even at 45. Regarding the O Line I am also experiencing very little time in the pocket which is ok but Im 10 plus years into my dynasty, have an amazing O line and still regardless of team the pass rush is intense. I aware of sliding and keeping guys in to block. Its possible the foot work could be a thing I will have to look at that. I have no problem with blitzes getting through it happens but consistent 4 man pass rush getting through immediately regardless of opposition seems unrealistic. I have pass block up to 60, although Im unsure if that really helped much.

I can manage it just fine but the constant dink and dunk and never having the time for anything to develop properly does get boring after awhile.

hamperbunny I feel your pain. Pass block is a tricky slider. Anything over 70 and my oline seemed to get less aggressive and apathetic. I'm still working on fixing it but as of now my reads are getting quicker lol.

I gave up 120 rushing yards in the 1st qtr last night but finished the game allowing 169. I was ashamed and surprised at the same time. I don't allow many 100+ yds rushing efforts by the cpu.

It was a CFP qtr final game. Year 6 of my Wash St dynasty. 85,84,86. We were playing Oregon who was slightly better at 86, 87, 85. They jumped out to a 14-0 lead in 1st but we didn't give up. We got a safety to start the 2nd qtr and got some key stops and my offense was steady. Final score was 28-25.

One of the best games I have played.

I posted a few updates to the set. The new patch seems to make the pass block slider more useful. Also raised cpu run block to provide balance.

** This post was edited for accuracy after looking back at the box score.

*Updates to the set were posted and should be stable until next update.

I was in near rage mode because I was up 35-0 with about 37 seconds to go in the first half of a game against an equally matched ranked opponent at home in year 4.

For some idiotic reason I was feeling cocky and kicked an onside kick to try and completely demoralize my opponent further. I did not recover. The opposing team scored in one play. No biggie.

17 seconds to go in the first half. They kick off and force a fumble that is recovered for a touchdown. Now morale is destroyed for my team going into the half 35-14.

My only points in the second half came off a FG. It was a long fought battle but I prevailed 38-34 and it went down to the wire.

Game 3 of the same season was against #24 Pitt at home. Even teams. Both having ratings of 86 ovr, 86 off, 87 defense.

It was a tough game in the rain. A lot of punts (9 combined). Going into the half both teams had less than 100 yds of total offense. Another tough but fun game that went down to the wire.

Finally got a chance to get a game in. Set still plays well post patch. I will get a few games in and see if anything needs to be adjusted.

Another close game that was decided by less than a touchdown. It was a good back and forth contest. A few punts for both sides. A pick and a fumble recovery for each side as well.

Overall a fun game. I had a few moments where I was sweating.
