I have my editors set up in folders. I will try all of these suggestions and thanks very much. I know it’s possible because I’ve got it before. It’s probably something I am doing wrong or not doing and I will slap myself when I find out what it is

In the meantime I’m going to go on playing the game as is and keep trying occasionally

Have you tried multiple dynasty and roster files, or are you just trying one that is important to you, over and over? It would tell you a lot, to know if it's an error in the individual save that is preventing it from working (which I've had), or if the problem lies in the overall process and occurs with any save file.

I can create 4 or 5 and try some different ones. I have tried others in the past and got the same error but I didnt' follow the same process exactly as you and others have suggested. I am going to watch a basketball game and when I get back I can post screenshots of how my folders and everything is set up and each step I do. Maybe someone can help from that.

One other thing to throw out as a possibility? Could my actual PS3 be the problem? The reason I say that is because, as I have stated a few times, I have gotten PS3 dynasty files to open before. It has been a year or so, and I am pretty sure I had a different PS3 console at that time. I'm not 100% sure it was a different PS3 but I believe it was. I do not have another one handy to test at this time. Honestly, I don't think that should matter but who knows?

For what it's worth the only editor I was ever able to open PS3 NCAA files(both 13 and 14) was the NCAA Dynasty(purple and yellow). I have never been able to open PS3 with the blue and green ones.

Hopefully I will eventually get it to work. All help is appreciated.

I had many issues when I first tried but I finally got it to work. I can modify stats and add playoffs games now. You still having issues?

You could attach your save and I will try to open it myself; see if I have any issues.

What config file are you using? I believe I used PocketScout for modifying playoff gams and Xans for updating stats.

How do I attach the save? I’ve never tried it before. I’m not home but when I get home I’ll see if I can figure it out. Thanks

I tried all of them no luck with any of them.

Tuscaloosa, I’m guessing I need to send the entire folder with the save file name and leave it encrypted.

Yeah, just attach the BLUS. When you start your reply, click on the little paper clip above to attach files.

I think I know what your issue might be. It gives an error message, but you can use it anyway. Just click on the tab that you want to work with, and then click "Refresh View". Then the tab will be filled in with information, no longer blank.

After you do your edits - don't forget to save, remove .mc02, and encrypt the file again.

Edit - I was just reading the older pages in this thread and I see that has already been recommended to you. Clicking "Refresh View" never worked, huh? Actually, it didn't give me the "this is not an mc02..." message. It was something else, now that I think about it.

That said, I was able to look at your dynasty on my laptop just fine. Makes me wonder if something has gone wrong with your Brute or config files maybe. Are you running BF 4.7.4?

Edit 2 - You're trying to use the purple and gold editor, right? I was able to make it give me the "this is not an mc02..." error by attempting to load it, without decrypting it first. As you know, it won't even show up as an option, unless properly named with ".mc02" on the end. So, that definitely isn't the issue, even though that is what it says. All of this leads me to believe, that for some reason, you're never actually decrypting the file. Maybe the right file isn't selected when you decrypt, even though it looks like it is. Maybe it's one of the differences in our processes (discussed a couple pages back), like you closing out BF when I, and others, leave it open. Or, lastly, and perhaps most likely, something is just wrong with your BruteForce. Just make sure that your USR-DATA is being decrypted, and if it still fails, I'd just delete everything to do with BruteForce and re-install the program.

First part , yes I tried Refresh View and it gave me the big box that said “object not set to an instance of an object “ or something.

                                No I have 4.6 .

I decrypt the USR Data file and I tried leaving BF open. Also, I made sure that I put a period and not a comma on the extension.

That is what I thought too. That the file isn’t actually decrypted. I can try to take 2 files and decrypt 1 and leave the other encrypted. Then pull both up side by side in the hex editor. If the code is exactly the same that tells me the “decrypted” file isn’t really getting decrypted.

                                Thanks for your help
