EA is on the hunt for a new Director for this department as well: https://ea.gr8people.com/jobs/174553...rican-football
That's interesting. If they have secured player NIL for schools all across the country they could market the game in the local footprint of each school using a player or players from that school.

Short video of the player talking and then a short clip of him making a play in the game.

That makes the game more fun.

Agreed. Except the only problem with MLB The Show’s create a team is you can only create one home uniform and one away uniform. If teambuilder is back I certainly hope it is with multiple alternate uniforms. Pretty much how college football is now anyways.

Not sure how much space multiple uniforms would take up but I agree more is better but 2 are better than nothing.

That's why I'm glad if the reports of CFB only coming to PS5 and XBX/S are true. It would suck for those who can't find one by then, but hopefully that should mean that the game shouldn't be held back by last gen consoles. I do hope they take full advantage of the power of the next gen consoles

No question the game will be better as a result.

I hope CPU teams recruit better in regards to anticipating position needs which greatly determines the OVR team ratings. It would also be nice to see more realistic class rankings, don't tell me Marshall has the #5 class with 3, 5 start recruits.

People who are really desperate to play the new College Football should really just find a Series S second-hand. I got one for $160, and it's really fantastic. By far the cheapest way to get into current gen.

And with that, still have to limit expectations still. Unless EA Sports is also moving Madden, Fifa/FC, and NHL to next gen only as well, you can't really expect more than what we have seen for Madden and Fifa visually. But, what I expect we will see is more attention to detail in a lot of areas. Stadiums, crowd detail, pageantry, hopefully bringing back stadium entrances, hopefully less cutscenes and more real-time presentation, going over and beyond with audio

If you don't like Madden at it's core, than it'll be hard for you to like the CFB game. As much as I can't get into Madden, I can still enjoy it at its core(gameplay). My main concern is just the blocking/line interaction. That has been an issue since the start of the 360 era. With all the running based offenses and formations, if blocking isn't drastically improved, that will hold back CFB gameplay

I think 2k just showed how much you're able to pack into a sports game on current gen. That game is 150 GB. I hope EA takes full advantage of the current gen consoles and pack in as much as they can.

I agree. I'm likely passing on 2k23 this year, but I've seen all improvements and seen all the content it has. You can definitely see the graphical improvement this year over last year with 2k23.

Like I said, I can see them focusing on the little details of College Football. This is the time to get the core down pact before they start the annual development cycle. You're going have your likely modes. Dynasty/Online, RTG, UT, maybe a Mascot Mode. For me, it's just setting the down a solid foundation for each mode to build off

I agree. I think based on that article, if true, they are definitely doing things to try and make this a genuine college experience. I cannot wait. Every time I fire up Madden 23, I think about what College Football will be on current gen. Gonna be a long 10 months lol.

As well as better roster / depth chart management. A 78 overall LG should not start over an 86 RG who is #2 on the depth chart at RG. If the game wants to enforce the Left (Guard, Tackle, End) vs Right, we should be recruiting LG / RG / LT / RT / LE / RE instead of G, T, DE.

Getting 130 football teams/uniforms/stadiums/player attributes in the game will be a heavy lift in the first year. I'm anxiously awaiting the 2023 game but I suspect 2024 is when we will see more added to the substance of the game.

I realize they shut down their college basketball series long before O'Bannon but I wonder if there's any chance they would being that back if this EA football game does well.
