    NEW DAY

After 6 seasons in Rivals Tennessee Coach Butch Jones has announced his retirement. Jones said that it was time to tackle a new career path and spend time with his family. Many within the program said that they could see Jones' retirement nearing with his recruiting and other offseason duties being handled mostly by his assistant coaches. The program now looks forward to the next era of Tennessee football.

Jones leaves with a 50-28 record in his 6 years at Tennessee, 5 winning seasons, a 3-3 bowl record, 12 All Americans, and 4 top 25 recruiting classes.

Tennessee has a new man in charge for 2020. After Niner retired the Vols went on the search for a bog name coach with an upside and they bring in Pyro to restore the program. In his first year he will have an uphill battle as there was not much left for him, but the Tennessee alumni and fans are excited to see the program in his hands.

Pyro runs a different scheme both offensively and defensively so this will be a completely new look for the Vols. Most noticeably will be the uptempo offense. The program is hoping that within the next couple of years Tennessee is playing for an SEC Championship, but realize that it may be slow process to get there.
