    Year 11 Discussion - 2018-2019

    WEEK 1

The new year is among us. FSU starts the season at #1 after a 14-0 season and hopes to repeat as National Champions but #3 Clemson and #5 Miami are 2 ACC teams that are not far behind. The state of Florida is well represented with 3 teams in the top 10 including #8 UCF who has been a mid major school in the national spot light for the past few seasons. Alabama starts the year at #2 with a very strong team as they hope to get an SEC school back in the mix. The B1G was ran last year by Minnesota but the voters think Ohio State gets their game back this year and reestablishes dominance in the north. There are a few teams who are ahead of the pack in terms of likely championship contenders, which are #1 FSU, #3 Clemson, #12 Oklahoma, and #8 UCF as the dark horse, but some potential season busters could be #6 Ohio State, #7 Notre Dame, or #14 Auburn. Should be an exciting season as we watch things unfold.

        Year 11 Discussion - 2018-2019

        USF @ #6 Ohio State

1st Half- The game actually started off on a good note for us because we forced a punt on the first drive, something that didnt happen in many games for us last year. Our first drive we wanted to just move the chains and we ended up doing that and getting in the redzone but just like last year we threw a redzone pic and killed all momentum. They were able to turn that into a scoring drive going up 7-0. On our drive I called a designed QB run that I've never tried and Flowers got to the sideline and took it 56 yards to tie it at 7. OSU would move it down the field converting on 2 big 3rd down conversions that we almost stopped them but they scored again to go up 7. 2 plays later we would score on a 66 yard run right up the middle by Williams to tie it at 14. We got a stop and was able to go in 17-14 at halftime after a fg with :15 on the clock.

2nd Half - Obviously we were happy to have the lead but our tds were essentially luck so we knew they were going to come back at us. We started the half with the ball and again just wanted to move the chains and 13 plays later we were in the endzone again. Up 24-14 we were finally able to breath and 2 plays later our MLB picked off a pass putting us in scoring range. Williams capitalized on the short field and ended a 6 play drive in the endzone with his second td. Down 31-14 the Buckeyes still had time to make a move but a long drive ended in a missed 4th down conversion and after a fg by us they threw another pick on a short field to my other LB (both user picks). Our backup RB was beneficiary of that pick as he got some carries and a td with us killing the clock.

Final was 41-14, huge surprise but the way it played it out all the credit goes to my defense and my O-Line. I was patient this game and did what I wanted to do but the execution by my team was impressive. Brennan Williams finished with 25 car 182 yds 2 tds. Back on the road next week to the other side of the country to face Oregon State.

GG EA lol. That game was a complete joke. My guys didn't even try to go after the ball on pass plays, when they did the dropped them. Had dropped 4 picks smh. I'm not even going to talk about that bs lb int Jak had. Anyway gg Jak.

                  UCF 21

Minnesota relies on true freshman kicker, Parrish to kick their way to the first win of the season. Defensive battle most of the game. UCF hit some big plays (we still don't have enough speed overall), but we survived off takeaways--the last INT was the bogus LB jumping up to snag one..

(I had to pause first pass play.. Was so confused when I saw TE Concepcion.. He was my stud TE last year and was like wth, is there a glitch? Forgot my incoming TE is also named Concepcion...)

24-21, Minnesota still winning with last minute fgs, dropped picks galore, Jerry's world with the big screen, another week 1 upset, B1G vs AAC is 1-1, biggest rival hasnt won a game all year while every team I've beat this year was in the top 10, my team might be back..... I love it
