    Re: YEAR 15 DISCUSSION- 2022-2023

Hey all, thought I would drop by to say thanks for the opportunity to participate in this successful league! I look forward to competing with you guys and taking some losses.....with that said I am rolling with a rather bland Cincinnati team and we traveled to Camp Randall stadium undermanned and out matched on paper.

1st quarter first drive we go 3 and out instantly and punt, our punter is about as bad as it gets giving the Badgers prime field position in plus territory. They quickly march down to our 1 yard line and call 3 straight runs and we managed to hold them to a fg. Cincy takes the ball and puts together a nice drive on the ground as the wrs could get no separation. Cincy scores on a 2 yard td run to go up 7-3 to end the quarter.

2nd quarter was all defense until the last play of the half when the Badgers throw a hailmary and the receiver out jumped 4 defenders to go up 10-7.

3rd quarter Cincy hits a flat route to the rb and with a beautiful spin move takes is 70 yards to go up 14-10. Wisconsin throws a pick two possessions later and Cincy goes back to the ground for another td to make it 21-10.

4th quarter was a battle of who would not make a mistake Wisconsin drove down with a 9 play drive and put up 6 and complete the 2 point conversion. Cincy up 21-18. Cincy gets the ball back starting at the 20 and after abusing the Wisconsin dts and lbs most of the game we decided to get to the edges which proved to be the right move Wisconsin loading the middle. Rb Williams scored with 1:50ish left on a 20 yard run on a 3rd and 7 to ice the game. Cincinnati with wide eyes escape 28-18.

I should note this is all off memory and i certainly could be wrong on the names until I get to know the team better. A long ways to go to compete with the better teams but a good start none the less!

Lol, my guys didn't react very well to it but they have really low awareness, I look at it as my fault I usually run with the safety anyway. I knew it was coming I shouldn't have been the lb. Plus those plays happen every now and again!

                    #7 Miami @ #24 Houston

The game plan for Miami going in was to contain this high powered Houston offense and limit their big plays. That was a struggle the whole first half as Houston had a big play on every one of their possessions and big meaning 50+. Miami held their own and controlled the ball mostly on the ground but a turnover and 2 big drops by their tight end left Miami down 24-17 at the half.

The second half looked like Miami's defense finally figured out how to attack the Cougars but the Houston offense didnt stay down. Miami scored a fg midway through the 3rd to make it 20-24 but UH answered with a second passing td to their star WR to make it 31-20.

Miami turned it over early in the 4th and Houston capitalized on it to make the lead 18 with 5 minutes left and although that seemed to be the game sealer we've seen Miami comeback before. Harris led his team down the field and scored in about a minute but missed on the 2 pt try so the canes were now down 12. They force a 3 and out burning 2 time outs and answer with another td this time converting the 2pt try to make it 34-38 with 2 minutes left.

With 1 timeout the Canes decided to go for the onside to give them a chance at the win instead of trying to stop the best offense they've seen in the past few years but Houston recovered. Miami now needed to hold for a fg and try to tie it at 41 and play for overtime but a missed tackle on second down gave the Cougars a 37 yard run to seal the game. Houston holds on at home to upset the Canes 45-34. Their offense stepped up against a very tough Miami defense.

This team would have beat Alabama had Nick not been the coach and I believe they would have run the table and played in the Natty as well. We couldnt cover their WRs 1 on 1 at all. They still might having only 1 loss but I was impressed by their offense all game.

Wow I knew the team was good but man that team is amazing. The last coach must have been like Brock Osweiler and was holding the offense hostage.

theyre offense was legit.. we didnt play our best game, bad tackling angles on some plays that could have been stops, but if we did they still would have scored lol.. I have 2 shut down corners, 1 sr 1 soph, they couldnt fw Houston's WRs at all
