    RIVALS 2026-2027 DISCUSSION

    ***** COACHES

•All new jobs are 2 years minimum

•Create a coach, make the Alma Mater a school you want... PLAYBOOKS must be the school you choose or a Generic PB, cannot change throughout the season

•New members at any point have to start in the American conference

    • Postseason: Any players that want to transfer or leave early cannot be swayed

    ****** RECRUITING

    - Anyone in your pipeline can be recruited
    - Any one who is not your pipeline but has you top 5 can be recruited
    - No Athletes
    - Only true freshman can be redshirted

    ***** GENERAL IN-GAME RULES

    - MIX UP YOUR PLAYBOOK ON OFFENSE.. play calling should be more like the NFL than NCAA, dont be repetitious

    - MIX UP YOUR PLAYBOOK ON OFFENSE.. even if you run or pass 50 times a game just mix up the plays.. EX if you want to play it safe and only run up the middle or throw short passes there should still be diversity in the play calls

    ***** BANNED ON OFFENSE

    - shotgun flex runs, if your pb has alot of shotgun flex formations switch it
    - no read option style offense
    - 5 wide
    - 4verts
    - user catches
    - oline shifts

    ***** BANNED ON DEFENSE

    - run commit
    - 1-5-5
    - user catches

    ***** PRESNAP OFFENSE

    - ONLY ONE presnap adjustment can be made on offense regardless of what it is (audible, flipped play, hot route, etc.)
    - ONLY ONE presnap adjustment for No huddle
    - ONLY EXCEPTION is adding ONE blocker with a hot route

    ***** PRESNAP DEFENSE

    - only MANUALLY move 1 player presnap
    - can not walk up past linebacker level

***** 4TH DOWN RULE (NO EXCEPTIONS)

    a) 4th and 1 past the 50
    b) 4th and whatever if you're down in the 4th quarter (in user games you can go for it if youre up in the 4th quarter past the 50)

    ***** QB RUNNING

    - QBs can only have 5 carries not including sacks (6 carries is a suspension, minimum 3 games)
    - QB runs between the tackles are fine whenever, you CANNOT sprint to the sideline and throw
    - IF YOU CALL A DESIGNED ROLLOUT OR ANY PLAY-ACTION YOU CAN LEAVE THE POCKET TO THROW OR RUN (only time you're allowed to do so)

    ***** SPECIAL TEAMS

    - NO KICK RETURNS FROM THE ENDZONE

•DO NOT adjust the ingame coaching strategies (aggressive, balanced, conservative) unless its chew clock late in the game

    ***** ADVANCES

•Advances will be set for every 3 days as long as the league is small. Play the games you feel like playing

•You can sim any game you want (NO SUPER SIMMING), if the advance day comes up and really havent had time to play but want to I will extend the deadline.

•I expect User games to at least START getting scheduled THE DAY OF or before advance day.. if one player tries to schedule it and the other waits too long they will be put on auto

    ***** THREAD

•Game write ups are not necessary at all but AT LEAST putting RTA and the score

    Re: RIVALS 2026-2027 DISCUSSION

Welcome to another year of Rivals Football.

Last year was a very exciting year as we saw the Miami Hurricanes finally add a 6th ring to the collection, Junior's first in Rivals. We almost, and should have, had a rematch between Miami and Texas who proved to be the best 2 teams in the country but Alabama hopped Texas after Championship Week. We also saw Alabama's great QB Kevin Murphy steal the Heisman trophy from Miami's RB Craig Coleman at the last second as well, but Miami got the last laugh. One of the biggest story during the season was Louisville's RB Jude living up to the hype and carrying the team what seemed to be a sure ACC Championship appearance but they lost 3 straight at the end of the season. TCU looked to be another contender but the busy head coach lost in his absence yet again. Ohio State was a struggling team that turned things around with some great coaching and got them a top 10 finish with virtually no offensive weapons.

This year Bama comes it at #1 with the defending champions, who are on a 21 game winning streak at #2. Miami and Texas dont play during the season for the first time in a long time so they are projected to meet up in the National Championship this year. Ohio State figures to have a similar as last year if they can close out those close games again but they now have to deal with Michigan who Rodriguez is now coaching. Michigan needs some star power on offense but their defense can easily carry this team through the B1G. UCF could be a team that surprises this year with one of the top backs from last year returning. They will get an early test against Miami in the opening week which will likely be brutal, but that will make the rest of the year at least feel manageable. UCF has the potential to finish this season as a top 10 team. Louisville and Notre Dame are the last 2 U5 schools and not much is expected from either. Louisville has to rebound from being able to just hand it to Jude 40 times and Notre Dame is still a turnover machine. College football always has surprises, who will be this year's surprise?

    WEEK 1

***** GAME OF THE WEEK *****
    #9 GEORGIA @ #18 LSU

Georgia is a team that has slowly been on the rise and last year they had their first top 10 finish in over a decade. They have the toughest opening schedule imaginable with LSU on the road, #2 Miami, then #1 Alabama. They will hope to take it 1 at a time but even at #9 they are the underdog in all 3. If they can steal just 2 of these this will be a great season for them. These teams are pretty even in terms of overall talent but their main differences are Georgia having a significant advantage on the offensive skill positions and a slight advantage in the secondary, and LSU having a significant advantage in the trenches. Games are won in the trenches but I dont think LSU has enough in their backfield to deal with Georgia. This Georgia secondary is another one thats in that conversation for best secondary in the country so if they can force some turnovers on LSU's poor QB then Georgia should be able to steal one on the road. My prediction is Georgia wins in a close one but LSU doesnt score much.

          Re: RIVALS 2026-2027 DISCUSSION

From Syracuses second play of the game, I could tell what kinda game this was going to be. A game were the CPU teams Qb was untackleable and faster then my whole defense. Syracuse jumped out to a 7-0 lead after a 70yd td run by their Qb. Texas offense would be forced to punt on their 1st drive of the game. Texas would tie the game at 7 thanks to a (user) pick 6 by MLB Huffman. Texas would take the lead at the end of 1st quarter after Yates hit new starting TE S.Bright on a 29yd td pass. 2nd quarter would see Texas play horrible on offense. Yates was hit or sacked on every pass and the run game was a no show. Yates was knocked out of the game midway through the 2nd. Syracuse would go into halftime with a 17-14 lead, thanks to their Qbs running. 3rd quarter Texas would retake the lead after backup Qb C.Morris hit former 5* true freshman TE R.Abrams on a 21yd td pass. On Syracuse next drive they would throw another pick 6. After that the game was all but over, Syracuse would get some big plays but never get within 10 points of Texas. Texas beats Syracuse 49-39. J.Yates 11/16 165yds 1td 1int. C.Morris 7/7 125yds 1td. R.Smith 20-148yds-3tds.
