What I don't get out of you Luv is not explaining on here why you have decided to go this route. I mean you lashed out at me & others when all we did was ask questions about why the change? That's not a good way to handle this dude! I'd bet you've gotten a lot of people now to care less about paying for your rosters.

It's your choice indeed & you are allowed to do whatever you want but acting in this manner will only hurt what was considered a good reputation with these rosters. I'm only giving you constructive criticism while you are only lashing out at the community. Thanks!
My statement was a blanket statement, and I was definitely not singling you out...and if it came off harsh..it was nothing personal towards you...did I riff off of some of the things in your post? yes,but I was just sick of saying the same thing over and over...I am very forthwright with all my updates and announcements...I made this announcement over 2 weeks ago and gave my reasons for doing so...it was on Twitter, and on my own forums....I took a lot of personal attacks yesterday and was basically just fed up with all the entitled people who expect me to just give give give.....My reputation is golden in the roster community and if one day of me being aggravated destroys it...I didnt have one to begin with... 1luv...peace and grace

I made this announcement over 2 weeks ago and gave my reasons for doing so...it was on Twitter, and on my own forums....
Not everybody follows Twitter Luv! You may have announced this elsewhere but you didn't make any sort of statement here & you're saying that yourself. As you can see you have a lot of members following your work from right here on these forums.

Wouldn't it have been right for you to have made the same announcement here? I'm not trying to tell you what to do either. I'm just trying to show you the other side bud! It's obvious that a lot of members here were shocked by the recent events. Making some sort of statement beforehand & when you had already did this elsewhere anyhow would have gone a long way in people understanding.

You don't owe anybody anything! That's right! But, the way this was handled makes you look a little bad from here at least. You knew you were going to start charging for rosters but nothing was announced here. You have to understand the questioning in how all this played out. Thanks!

Didn't see a post or anything but it makes sense to me. This stuff has to take a lot of time and I've used your rosters for free since you started so I have no problem giving you money for it. So two questions 1) What do I need to do to get the rest of updates ($20 bucks right?) and 2) Is there anyway way to change Brandin Hawthorne back to #7 on Michigan? Gardner has it on offense and he was on the game already but now he's #6. Anyway to fix that? Thanks.

          Re: luvtotha9's 2011-2012 PS3 Rosters

Sorry to say, but it's not a donation if the only way you get version 2 or later costs you 20 bucks. That is selling, plain and simple. A donation can be of ANY amount. As soon as there is a minimum to be paid it's no longer a donation it is now selling. So please people stop saying it's just a donation.

As for the annoucement you made. One I don't follow twitter at all and second on your site, the only thing I have checked over the last month was your roster progress so when I starting making comments yesterday is because yesterday is when I found out your were now charging for the update. I did find it funny though that on your site when we were having a back and forth about it, you removed some of my comments to cast your side in a better light.

              Re: luvtotha9's 2011-2012 PS3 Rosters

I know this is a thread for the rosters and not for debate, but I think Luv wouldn't mind me saying this. Besides, if you read the following carefully, this should be the end-all of this nonsense.

Version 1 was FREE--free to Inner Circle members, non Inner circle members, illegal aliens, communists, atheists, people who don't wash their hands after they use the potty, everyone.

Version 2 is available to people who have donated money. Two things about this:

              1) If you had donated ANYTHING before Version 1's release, you were in the Inner Circle. You could have donated 5 bucks and you were an Inner Circle member. This is just a case of missing the bus for a lot of people. $20 a little steep for you for Version 2? Guess what? You could have donated $5 back in July or August and that would have been enough. But that doesn't matter; what matters is #2...

              2) If you got Version 1 for free, that's ALL you need. What is it you say? You need updates? Guess what? EA doesn't "update" their game for you do they? When the game was released, the Ohio State University was ranked #6. Well, they certainly aren't now, and look at that--you STILL play the game. Clemson was completely unranked when the game came out and now they are a top 10 team, but EA doesn't update that for you. When you fire up the game, Clemson is still not going to have a number beside their name. Case in point, you don't need Luv's updated roster because you don't even get EA's updated teams (and rankings). And before you get smart with me, this has nothing to do with Dynasty because you would have to keep starting your dynasty over if you really wanted Luv's updated roster.

You got EA's game for $60 and don't complain about updates. You got Luv's Version 1 for FREE...so don't complain about updates.

Who the hell would donate for freakin rosters..that's stupid. I don't care how much time you put into them that's your damn choice. I'm not gonna give someone money for that. It was his choice all this time to put these out for free, when he knew damn good and well how hard he worked on them and still put them out there for free. If he wants to be a sourpuss now then so be it, we have those other really good rosters out there to use; no loss.

That's the WHOLE point--you don't have to give someone money for that! Some people gave him money because they knew he was working on these rosters day and night, not only naming players but putting in correct heights, weights, equipment, etc--heck, even correct hometowns. "Who the hell would donate for freakin rosters"?--some people who respected his work who wanted to pay him for his time. I'M NOT SAYING you didn't respect his work if you didn't donate; I'm just saying for some people a donation wasn't a big deal. It's his choice to put all this time in it, it's your choice to not donate, and it's a person's choice to donate--none of these choices, including yours, is "stupid".

Some people donated before they even knew that Version 2 would require one. Read the last sentence of my first paragraph; I just don't see how anyone could disagree with it.

Do you not consider 3 patches and a tuner "updates"?

And thank you to the person who called out the use of donation. He is now selling a product. A product I will not be purchasing.

                      Face palm...

Please read my post again. "3 patches and a tuner" are GAMEPLAY updates. Luv does PLAYER updates. This is a roster thread, so if you want to talk about gameplay updates, go to the NCAA Football page (not the Roster sub-page).

This is what I'm saying: a lot of people who are complaining (even though most won't admit it) about Luv "charging" for roster updates actually want the updates (for free). This is my point: Version 1 was and still is free, so why do you even need Version 2? Because you want updated rosters. How can you complain if you have Version 1? Again, because you want updated rosters.

Follow me here, okay? When Clemson went from unranked in real life and in the game, EA didn't send an update to make them #8. That won't change on the game (unless you play Dynasty), but people aren't really complaining about that. You use EA's teams and their rankings won't change; use Luv's FREE version 1 rosters and depth charts won't change.

You can argue all day whether Luv should "charge" or not, but what I said makes perfect sense. You might not agree with it, but it makes perfect sense: you're okay with team rankings and grades not being updated by EA but you must have your players updated by Luv.

I'll tell you one thing for sure: if people keep this crap up, Luv won't be releasing rosters for NCAA 13 for ANYBODY. Luv is NOW saying a $20 donation will get you all the updates.....but if you would have donated earlier, a $5 donation would have put you in the Inner Circle.

If you don't like it, there are other roster makers out there! Use their rosters!

Luv's rosters don't have these for all players. Let's not act like he sat there and spent a full day on every team. Unless version two was some massive improvement...I was disappointed in version one to be honest, that's why I continued working on rosters here on OS.

He has done that for every player rated over 80.

It seems that all the whining has to due to that fact that his rosters must be one of the best since there are several threads with rosters on here, several alternatives. You don't want to donate, go to another thread and use those, no one is stopping anyone for doing that. You all act like there are no other rosters and you have to have these, and then cut them down as disappointing. Riiiiight.

And Redsfan, if you had donated, become a member of the inner circle, you would have had early access to version 1 and had input into any issues you saw before the final release. These rosters came out before final rosters for many teams had been released and before 1 game had been played yet.

Still, just using Ohio State as an example he left a lineman on the roster (Ben St. John) who has never played a meaningful snap in his career. If you don't replace him he'll turn into a 1st round talent. I believe he's 83 ovr on his rosters, that's what I had a problem with. There were several other large errors on Ohio State alone..and that's a major school. If he wants to claim he's some roster golden boy, then back it up. He's certainly talked his rosters up. I haven't seen it this year, just being honest.

How do I join your whole "inner circle" thing on your website?
                                MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers
                                NFL: Buffalo Bills
                                NBA: Los Angeles Lakers
                                NCAA: Fresno State

I have multiple teams I like which I think every true sports fan should!!
