Hey fellas, first off all, thanks for putting these rosters together again.

I saw this IU template and made some initial edits to the depth chart, to eligibility years, and to a number. I put all my edits in bolded, italicized red above.

I will have several more edits in terms of players to take out and players to put in. This template is a great base, but some of the backups most likely will not see time this year due to IU's strong recruiting class (best in IU history). Several 4-star recruits are missing, as well as high 3-stars. There are also some guys that saw key playing time last season, including a few starters, who aren't on the template. I'm putting together that list and will repost later today.

My question - we are still limited to 70 roster slots correct? (I just want to make sure I include the top 70 guys when I post inclusion/exclusion corrections.)

I know there will need to be a few cuts, but we can decide those later.
Looking good. The only changes I would make are the ones I have in bold. #77 Pocic I would make a LT because Malone will assume that Center role. And the MLB, I would take out #51 Granier(who will never see the field at LSU) and add the Fr #49 Melvin Jones(medium skin) 6'3 245 LA. Rated high and game ratings should be the same if not better than Granier's right now.

Quality suggestions, but I'm not sure that Pocic makes it to LT while at LSU. Hawkins seems to be that guy who's next in line after Collins leaves and I think that Pocic has a chance to play at C this year considering that Porter missed time in the spring. I didn't list Jones because I've heard talk recently that he may end up on the DL, some say that the 245lbs that he's listed at isn't accurate.

I usually tinker with my LSU roster all the way through the season so this is just a starting point and certainly isn't the gospel.

You should try to get their 4-star recruits in there, excluding Taj Williams because he is included already. We should try to get in Antonio Allen, Rashard Fant, David Kenney, and Darius Latham.

I plan on getting in many of the freshmen. With this being arguably the best class in IU history, with several 4-stars and even several high 3-stars, this class will provide several starters in the next year or two, as well as quality depth. There are some guys that are currently on the template that won't see much playing time, if any, and I'm going to take those guys off. A few starters from last season are missing. I only counted 54 guys on this template, so there should be room to include several more guys. I'm almost finished with a thoroughly revised template and I plan to post one tonight if I get the chance.

That sounds great! And I know, I lived in the area and they are prepped for a huge year IMO. I'll take a look at it when it is done, good job!

Are these rosters different than the other group led by pudge or are you all working together? Just curious.

There is one group for the 360 and one for the PS3.

                          Re: Official 360/PS3 Template thread

**Updated on 6/29/13 - DT Maurice Swain removed (FR who will now be attending JUCO)**

Here is an updated IU template. The first template that was posted in this thread was missing some key players and many of the freshmen. This was arguably IU's best recruiting class in history (compared to other programs, not an overwhelming class, but for IU, it is a solid foundation) and several of the players will play key roles this season and in the coming years.

I have marked number changes, year eligibility changes, positional changes, and returning players to be added in bolded, italicized red.

Newcomers (true frosh or JUCOs) are marked in crimson (even if they enrolled for spring ball).

I also added home states, skin color, and, for newcomers, ESPN and Rivals rankings.

**EDIT** - Since originally posting yesterday, I made one edit to the template after talking with an IU insider - someone who covers IU sports for one of the media outlets. He didn't think that Anthony Young would have a great chance to get a crack at playing time in the next few seasons due to IU's abundance of talented speedy/slot receivers and return men. So I removed Young and added senior S Ryan Thompson back into the game. Thompson played a lot during the spring game and will most likely contribute as a backup S and special teams guy often.

Finally, there are 69 (with Swain removed from DT) players on this template. If you guys aren't wanting 69 players, or need to keep a spot or 2 open, then guys like S Ryan Thompson, RE Shawn Heffern, WR Isaac Griffith (in that order) are probably the first guys to take off (it's a very tough choice at this point).

Let me know if I need to clarify or clear anything up.

Had to leave out a couple older players on the depth chart, mainly because of the ton of recruits UCLA is bringing in at OL and DB. So some stuff may be incorrect to the more-informed UCLA fan, so PLEASE let me know, don't wanna mess up a roster. This is just what I got from the latest depth chart along with season previews of the O/D.

*Vanderdoes could either be a Freshman or RFreshman; apparently he is planning to appeal his lost season of eligibility and play for UCLA this year. If so he could be a FR, but if not I'm guessing the only way to mimic 3 years of eligibility would be to make his a RsFr and bury him on the Depth Chart.

This is pretty good actually. Since you asked for input from UCLA fans, here are the few things I would say should be changed.

                                1) Remove Logan Sweet from the WR depth chart. Walk-on, won't play much.
                                2) Remove Innes & McDermott from OL depth chart, and add incoming freshman Alex Redmond 6-5 302 (rivals 4 star). He, along with Beneoch, has a real chance to start at the RG spot.
                                3) Jalen Ortiz (you have him at CB) will play WR.
                                4) I'd replace Brandon Sermons with #4 Stan McKay 6-0 198 CA. McKay will play quite a bit more than Sermons in some different spots (LB/S).

This is somewhat unrelated to your depth chart, but former Pitt RB Rushel Shell (sophomore) is transferring to UCLA. He was a top 10 RB out of HS, seemed to be rated fairly low (69?) last year, but rushed for over 600 yards as a true FR. Not sure what he should be rated, but probably should be included and buried on the depth chart to simulate sitting out the year for transferring. He was listed at 6-0 215 from PA.

Thanks for doing most of the work!!
