Oh, big game against the Tide. Good luck - and yes, let's hope it plays out the way it should. The last thing I want is for each game to feel the same, with the same type of players regardless of ratings.
It's good to hear the option and screens are working well - that is one of my main concerns with adjusting the slider values in any form; it's just so sensitive than last year's. One little thing changed could be the difference of 2 sacks to 10 sacks. I want the CPU's momentum to be broken, not just in one linear format (sacks).
Hey f00te, good to see ya again, man.
90 thresh is the key for these sliders, man. The reason for 90 is because RBA is higher than usual. Like I said it's my theory that RBA is adjusted for not just running backs, but also receivers/TEs - so with that theory in mind, there is already an advantage - which is why there is such wide open game play by default, and thresh lower than 50.
I want the DBs to be tight with the receivers, but not overly tight where they are mimicking the moves of the receivers exactly. Yes, it will still happen from time to time - but the separation looks realistic and the ball has to be fed in well by the QB.
Furthermore - the 90 thresh builds up a solid running game variety. It lets the match up of defensive rush versus tackling and tack that on to the RBA (RBL I believe has to do with blocking after the line of scrimmage).
People can be skeptical though - as they should - as I and OUBryan were when we started. However, the goal is to steer away from wide open gameplay, and I think, so far - it's been accomplished.
