Did some testing. Looks like 300 files is the magic number. Over 300 and it shows the black and blank areas.

Well that stinks. I have over 900 stadium sounds. Thanks for looking into this hawkeye.

Maybe we can put them in a separate folder or something?

Even with this it still may end up being less of a hassle than the sounds on the XBOX. Haha.

Can anyone else confirm this?

I had a feeling it was an issue with being too many files on the PS3. Disappointing considering it's been fine previous years. Not sure how I'm going to manage this between NCAA 13 & MLB The Show.

I hear ya krul. I was hoping that if you deleted a song that NCAA 13 would remember the song when you put it back on your hard drive. I was going to delete files, add new files, then add the deleted files. That doesn't work. It still shows that it is missing.

I will probably get all my custom sounds entered for all the conferences and then redo my The Show music.

I highly doubt they are going to patch it. I'm cutting my list down to 300 and making my conference sounds.

Then I'll go back and do The Show and get ready for NHL 13.

One positive is that stadium sounds seem to be working better. I like that they play the 3rd down stop for all stops, not like the past 2 years when they only played on a running play stop.

Anybody take sounds on the road yet?

I set up sounds for Ole Miss and then played there with Arkansas. It played the wrong fight song for my team. Pretty sure it was Ole Miss's fight song that it played instead of Arkansas.

I'm suffering this too. I see no real reason to delete 1000 songs to please one video game (2 cause I'm sure NHL will f up too). With this and teambuilder not loading certain teams of mine, coupled along with no rosters yet. I'm tempted to take this back for a while :wink:

PS3 here. Same problem. Have a ton of NHL songs saved on my machine. So if you have more than 300 songs, you get the blackout?? EA needs to patch this immediately. And why in the @#$@ is Texas Fight not in the game?

Same issue here fellas. I too own MLB 12 the Show and have a ton of music for that game as well as a ton of music for NBA 2K12. Oh well, I guess I will just go without the custom sounds for NCAA 13.

Although this is a little disappointing it is not a game killer for me.

I shouldn't have to delete my sounds for NBA 2k & MLB the Show just so my NCAA Football files show up. That's ridiculous. They need to figure out how to make it work and patch it because we shouldn't have to dedicate our entire system to this game. I play those other games and they have no problems with their stadium sounds despite all the files.

My thoughts exactly.
Madden = EA = No sounds
NCAA = EA = Messed up/limited sounds
NHL = EA = limited sounds/difficult-slow setting them up

MLB = Sony = Works perfect, has an editor, has the ability to handle a large amout, has the ability to scroll through your large collection quickly.
NBA = 2K = Works perfect, has the ability to look in playlists, etc.

Think you need a change to this "unique" feature EA?

299 is the magic number. Thanks for doing the research earlier. I would have been pulling my hair out.

It stinks that we have to tailor our entire sounds collection just to fit into EA's game.

Then again, the 360 stadium sounds are flat out awful to deal with. Nothing like having 200 slots and only being able to select from your first 100 playlists. Yay.

Same here. On the PS3. I get some song names to come up but there are black spaces in between the songs and when you press play in the black bar and NOT the song, it plays the song that's below it.

It's all messed up. I contacted EA about it and they told me to do something that I knew wouldn't work but decided, why not, and it didn't do a thing.

So apparently it just doesn't work at all.
