Mendenhall only had that one good year. If I remember correctly it didn't even matter because we got killed in the rose bowl.

Yeah he really only started for 1 year though. I am not saying he is better. I'd take McFadden anyday, but whoever pulled out the stats kind of made more of a case for Mendenhall. No one cares about raw statistics. You could be a 4 year starter at some school like UCF and break records. That doesn't mean your one of the top players.

SEC v Big-10 Defenses. I would say that is why McFadden is the better RB. That and one was drafted in the top 5 and the other was end of the 1st round. One is a speed back and the other is a power back. They are completely different RBs in my opinion.

Big 10 defense wasn't that bad...a 6.5 YPG is pretty darn good. I wasn't the one to pull out the stats though. I don't really care about either player. I was just saying it wasn't a strong argument to just put out raw stats. Maybe saying McFadden was drafted a lot higher or something would have been better.

Tyrod Taylor should be Gold? Not in a million years.

I hear it's your opinion, I have one too. Both of Florida's QBs are gold. Tebow a 93, which should be much higher and Grossman an 89, who should be around a 92 or 93.

Re: Players in the game with no good card

Just gonna post the adjusted defensive rankings of each team they played from 2007 and the stats from the 2007 season for each as it was their final season:

                  Mendenhall - 262 carries, 1681 yards, 6.4 YPC, 17 TDs
                  Missouri - 35
                  Western Illinois - not DI
                  Syracuse - 95
                  Indiana - 86
                  Penn State - 48
                  Wisconsin - 57
                  Iowa - 40
                  Michigan - 11
                  Ball State - 93
                  Minnesota - 106
                  Ohio State - 14
                  Northwestern - 91
                  USC - 2
                  Average defensive ranking - 56.5

                  McFadden - 325 carries, 1830 yards, 5.6 YPC, 16 TDs
                  Troy - 38
                  Alabama - 21
                  Kentucky - 41
                  North Texas - 103
                  Chattanooga - not DI
                  Auburn - 5
                  Ole Miss - 63
                  Florida International - 80
                  South Carolina - 33
                  Tennessee - 37
                  Mississippi State - 19
                  LSU - 6
                  Missouri - 35
                  Average defensive ranking - 40.1

                  Common opponent (Missouri):
                  Mendenhall - 11 carries, 33 yards, 2 TDs
                  McFadden - 21 carries, 105 yards, 1 TD

Against top 3 defenses (average rank - 9):
                  Mendenhall
                  USC - 17 carries, 155 yards, 1 TD
                  Michigan - 18 carries, 85 yards, 0 TD
                  Ohio State - 26 carries, 88 yards, 0 TD
                  Average - 20.3 carries, 109.3 yards, 5.4 YPC, .3 TDs

Against top 3 defenses (average rank - 10):
                  McFadden
                  Auburn - 17 carries, 43 yards, 0 TD
                  LSU - 32 carries, 206 yards, 3 TDs
                  Mississippi State - 28 carries, 88 yards, 0 TD
                  Average - 25.6 carries, 112.3 yards, 4.4 YPC, 1 TD

I would still argue McFadden is the better player, but anyone not giving Mendenhall the respect he deserves is wrong. These stats show they are actually a lot closer than people would realize/like to admit.
