Re: Real non-football schools Teambuilder teams
Hi everybody, I'm more of a Madden player than NCAA one, but I decided to buy '14 this year and I'm enjoying it very much.
I have used TB before usually to create NFL teams, but I've also made my alma mater, which has no chance of ever getting a football program, at least any time soon. The school is the University of Texas at Brownsville, or UTB. They are the Ocelots.
I've tried to be as realistic as I can with the school's sliders, and I used the cupcake template for the roster, which gives me a 58 overall team. In my current dynasty as them, I've somehow been able to compile a 6-3 record heading into my 10th game, but I'll be having fun trying to make them a legit program.
If you are interested in downloading this school, just look for Kakarot37 for PS3. I'll also attach an image to this post so you all can see the home uniform. Let me know what you all think.Attached FilesComment

Re: Real non-football schools Teambuilder teams
if youre someone who enjoys building programs from the bottom up, and arnt afraid of a challenge, definitely take a look at these two teams:
Yankton College Greyhounds or Mount Marty Lancers created by iDEN10
They're two colleges based out of Yankton, South Dakota. Yankton College no longer exists since it was closed in 1984 and the buildings and neat campus were turned into a minimum-security federal prison. Mount Marty still exists but has never had a football program.
I created the schools with the intention of building them from small town nobodies into powerhouse dynasties, however my ps3 crashed a while back so i havnt had the chance to play with them. They both have cupcake rosters, academic prestige is their only decent recruiting pitch, and because theyre based in South Dakota either one would prove to be a challenge to build up. Check em out and let me know what ya think!Comment

Re: Real non-football schools Teambuilder teams
I typically do a similar thing each year for a fun dynasty twist. I usually keep my team private, but this year thought to share it. This season, I have created; CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners.
This isn't your typical pick a roster, make unis, and go for it... This is an extremely thought out process. I have created CSUB with the thought that they are a start up program with the idea of creating a rivalry with Fresno State. Close proximity to Fresno State and recuit battles galore in the Central Valley as recruits now have multiple options; between CSU Bakersfield and Fresno State.
All the players on this team are real players that either play at the JUCO level, are transfers (in the process of transferring), and/or played in HS and never panned out in college. Most of the players are from the Central Valley (the majority from Bakersfield) with some other players coming out of other areas in California.
It is a balanced team and currently have Nevada's playbook with the Pistol as your base offense, but when you start your dynasty you can choose whichever playbook you want.
Here is a basic breakdown by position with the highlights and where some of the players came from (blending reality with fiction):
Quarterback:
- QB #16 Marcus McDade; transfer from Fresno State last spring. From Stockton, decent player that hasn't decided his next school (possibly a JUCO player this fall?)
- QB #8 Mike Baker; top recruit from Fresno who went the JUCO route and is currently playing at Fresno City College.
Running backs:
- RB #1 Dillon Baxter; top recruit out of high school and ex-USC player, who is now at an NAIA school.
- RB #29 Jalen Sykes; broke rushing records at Bakersfield College. Was recruited by Fresno State and some FCS schools. Academics seem to put his collegiate career on hold.
Wide receivers/Tight ends:
- WR #7 Kris Comas; played at the JUCO level at Santa Monica College. He was heavily recruited, but doesn't appear to be on anybody's fall roster for 2013...
- WR #22 Tairen Owens; star player in HS that was signed by UCLA. Grades prevented him from enrolling and he is currently playing at Pasadena City College.
- TE #18 Bo Brummel; from Washington, but is currently playing for Butte College in California. He has some interest from FBS schools.
Defensive Line:
- DT #92 Julio Derosier; originally from Florida and already has signed as a JUCO recruit to Miami (FL). Currently playing in California at the College of the Sequoias.
- LE #55 Tua Talia; from Concord, CA and currently playing for Diablo Valley JC. He is being recruited by FBS schools.
Linebackers:
- LOLB #30 Tyler Bates; from Madera (Central Valley) and currently playing at Fresno City College. He is being recruited as a JUCO recruit.
- MLB #9 Nick Holt, Jr.; ex-Washington coach Nick Holt's son played HS ball in Seattle, but is currently playing at City College of San Francisco.
Secondary:
- CB #4 Tee Shepard; a heavily recruited player from Fresno. Originally signed with Notre Dame, but left prior to spring enrollment. Spent last season at a JUCO and is currently trying to get back to the FBS level playing at Holmes Community College.
- FS #15 Sam Atoe; played in Santa Rosa, was signed by San Diego State but he never enrolled. He is currently playing at the College of San Mateo and is getting looks by FBS schools.
- SS #2 Stormy Butler; another heavily recruited player originally from Florida. Played at College of Sequoias and was set to play at Texas Tech, but he is not on their roster.
Others:
- K #3 Parker Campbell; top kicker in the Central Valley, played at Bakersfield HS. Was recruited by FBS and FCS schools, but never signed. He will play at Bakersfield College this season with hopes of getting picked up somewhere.
The above info gives you a taste of the players and types of things on this team. The team is decent (67 OVR), but still requires building them up.
