Not Able to Mix & Match Uniforms
Went to play this morning and noticed it is no longer possible to mix and match uniform pieces like classic helmets, pants, jerseys, etc. with current uniform pieces. It is only possible to choose classic uniform combos as a set piece. Anybody else notice this? Is this an error on EA's part? We have been able to do this for years now. Seems odd to have removed it.Tags: None👍 2 -
Are you serious?? That is ridiculous. The only reason I can think of relates to the field art alignment.👍 1 -

It depends on the preset. They added a new "CanRemix" checkbox to each preset file under the hood and some of them have it turned off.
Some uniforms are fully composited while others are not, so there is the possibility that this is the reason for this, some incompatibility between composited and traditional uniform files.Comment

Yes, I noticed this and it made me sad and angry too. As a Dolphins fan, I've been mixing and matching to get it to look right for years, because the current set is garbage. So I use the ones from the 70s, 80s and 00s to get the look right. And now I apparently can't do that any longer.Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.Comment

Having played well into my season, messing around with opponent uniforms I see that for some teams, mixing and matching is indeed fully possible. But they locked it on others. Given that this wasn't the case before, I wonder if it came down as an order from the league or Nike? Why else prevent people from swapping around parts to create something akin to a set that's not represented in the game?
For example, I would frequently take the Dolphins 1984 helmet, 84 away jersey, early 2000s aqua pants, and 1970s socks with aqua/white shoes to achieve the look the team had on the road in the 90s, which is my personal favorite. This had been possible for several years now, but is now locked. I'm not a big fan of the current throwback because it has a grey facemask instead of aqua. and all of the accesories become black or white instead of team color because its based on the 1966 look.Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.👍 1Comment

I mentioned this a few Madden’s ago, and luckily, someone from the community had a solution. Da Bears “Fictional” Orange Pants were included in M25 without having to dig them out in Custom Home/Away Creation/Edit Screen. It seems like they may have been taken out in the regular uniform selection menu and in the edit feature. From what I’ve seen so far, it’s limited to just the home pants, the away pants, and the current classic alternates for Da Bears. In the regular uniform selection menu, you can mix and match all of available uniforms though.D 36 aka One of the Illest Strong Safeties to play the game... sized/hits like a linebacker or "in the box" safety & runs/covers like a corner!!!!!!!
