I currently like it....I will say when I was using Kyle Shanahan's loadouts the ground game was kinda easy. I was averaging 8 ypc with CMC. When I removed them, the ground game is more in the 4-6 range which is acceptable to me. I will say that pass rush by the cpu is pretty quick but my passing game has always been a WCO in nature and since I'm going 100% undercenter in this franchise I am motivated to get it out quickly. Purdy takes a lot of hits but get the ball out. I think he may have a quick release on the game.

I'm almost 100% certain that if you have a low level coach, your players don't play as well on the field. Using Joe Burrow with my brand newly creted coach, and he's played bad 3 straight games going up against the Browns. I used the real life coach and he destroyed the Browns 44-21 and threw for over 400 yards and 4 TD's. And this is using coach mode letting the AI throw the ball instead of me.

And when I say Burrow has played bad, you would have thought he was a rookie. Missing open receivers, overthrowing, getting sacked, holding onto the ball way too long.

        Detroit Lions at Baltimore Ravens

        Detroit Lions (3-0)17146744
        Baltimore Ravens (1-2)0771226

        BOX SCORE

Lions capitalize on early turnovers, stay perfect with 44-26 win over Ravens

By Tim Twentyman | Detroit Free Press Sports Writer

Baltimore — The Detroit Lions walked into M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday night looking to keep their unbeaten start alive — and they left with a statement win, powered by early takeaways, explosive plays, and another stellar showing from Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Behind two first-quarter fumbles by Lamar Jackson, both recovered by Detroit, the Lions jumped out to a 17-0 lead and never trailed, cruising to a 44-26 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Detroit improved to 4-0 for the first time since 1980, while Baltimore fell to 1-3.

        Early Punch Lands Hard
Detroit wasted no time turning defense into offense. Just under seven minutes in, Goff found St. Brown for a 4-yard touchdown to cap a short drive. Moments later, Jake Bates drilled a 27-yard field goal after another Ravens miscue, and rookie sensation Jahmyr Gibbs ripped off a 37-yard scoring run to make it 17-0 with 2:37 left in the first quarter.

“Those turnovers set the tone,” head coach Dan Campbell said. “When you can punch the ball out, get your offense in scoring position, and cash in, that’s how you win on the road.”

        St. Brown Steals the Show
St. Brown continued his All-Pro pace, catching 10 passes for 122 yards and a career-high three touchdowns. His second score came late in the first half on a 9-yard strike from Goff, and his third — a 7-yard grab with 48 seconds left before halftime — gave the Lions a 31-7 cushion.

“He’s a dog,” Goff said. “Anytime we need a play, I know where I’m going.”

        Baltimore’s Brief Rally
The Ravens showed life in the third quarter when Zay Flowers broke loose for a 58-yard touchdown and Rashod Bateman added a 7-yard score late in the fourth, but Detroit’s lead never dipped below two scores.

Jackson, under pressure much of the night, finished 26-of-33 for 271 yards, three touchdowns, and three costly turnovers.

        Ground Game Control
While Goff’s arm did the damage through the air, Gibbs provided balance, rushing 18 times for 171 yards and a touchdown. The Lions outgained Baltimore 215-100 on the ground and held a 33:08 to 26:52 edge in time of possession.

Veteran Derrick Henry punched in a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter for Baltimore, but his 70-yard night wasn’t enough to spark a comeback.

        Defense Delivers
Brian Branch led the Lions with 17 tackles, while rookie corner Terrion Arnold came up with a key interception in the second half to halt a potential Ravens rally. Detroit’s defense held Baltimore to just 3-of-9 on third downs and kept their run game largely in check outside of one long Flowers catch-and-run.

Five Takeaways from Lions’ 44-26 win over Ravens

        1. Early turnovers were the difference
Two Lamar Jackson fumbles in the opening minutes completely flipped momentum before Baltimore could settle in. Detroit turned both into points, building a 17-0 cushion that forced the Ravens out of their game plan early.

        2. St. Brown is playing like the league’s best
Amon-Ra St. Brown didn’t just have a good night — he was unstoppable. Ten catches, 122 yards, and three touchdowns showcased his elite route running, physicality, and chemistry with Goff. He now has five touchdowns through four games.

        3. Gibbs gives the Lions another gear
Rookie Jahmyr Gibbs gashed Baltimore’s front for 171 yards on just 18 carries, including a 37-yard first-quarter score. His ability to hit the edge and break tackles kept the Ravens guessing all night.

        4. Terrion Arnold makes his mark
The rookie corner’s second-half interception came just as Baltimore was trying to claw back into the game. It was a veteran-type play from a first-year player who’s quickly becoming a key part of Detroit’s secondary.

        5. This team looks built for the long haul
The Lions dominated time of possession, balanced the offense, and didn’t commit a turnover. With a top-five offense and an opportunistic defense, Detroit is showing the type of consistency that travels — and wins in January.

        Up Next
The Lions return home next Sunday to host the Cleveland Browns in another primetime-caliber matchup.

        DAN CAMPBELL LOCKER ROOM SPEECH
        Campbell:
“Alright, bring it in! Bring it in, men!

Look — that right there is what it looks like when you take someone’s heart in the first quarter. We walked in here into their house, under the lights, and we punched them right in the mouth. They coughed it up, and we made them pay — every single time.

That’s what good teams do. That’s what great teams do.

Goff — you were money tonight. St. Brown — three tuddies?! You’re a nightmare, man. Gibbs — you ran like your hair was on fire. And defense… Branch, seventeen tackles? Terrion — big-time pick when we needed it. Every single one of you played with grit, with discipline, and with no fear.

Now, I’m gonna tell you something — we are 4-0 for the first time since before half of you were born. But that means nothing if we take our foot off the gas. Cleveland’s coming to our house next week, and I promise you, they’re gonna try and slow us down. We’re not slowing down for anybody.

We’re building something here. And it’s not just wins — it’s a way of playing that travels anywhere, anytime, against anybody. We run. We hit. We take the ball away. We protect it. And we finish.

Enjoy this tonight. You earned it. But tomorrow, we’re back in that building, and we’re getting ready to do it all over again.

One more thing — I love you guys. Every damn one of you. This is a special group, and we’re just getting started.”

Campbell throws his headset on the bench, raises his fist.

        Campbell:
“Lions on three! One, two, three—”

        Team:
        “LIONS!”

I have a few going at the moment. I rebuilt the Steelers and drafted Arch Manning from someone's 2026 draft class they uploaded. Currently in year 2 there.

I'm in year 2 of my Seahawks franchise where I need to find someone to take over for Darnold soon.

Also have a Giants franchise where Dart took over as the starter in year 2. Nabers is a lot of fun to throw the ball to.

Thinking about doing one in the dynasty section here but not sure what team to choose... Was leaning towards the Rams with 2 1st round picks

CHARGERS OFF TO STRONG 3–1 START IN 2025 SEASON
By Staff Writer — Madden 26 Franchise

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — The Los Angeles Chargers are making an early statement in the 2025 season, winning three of their first four games and showcasing a balanced attack on offense paired with clutch performances in the fourth quarter.

Quarterback Justin Herbert has been the driving force behind the Chargers’ hot start, completing 74.2% of his passes for 935 yards, eight touchdowns, and no interceptions. His efficiency and poise have been complemented by a deep receiving corps led by Keenan Allen (217 yards, 2 TDs) and Ladd McConkey (345 yards, 1 TD).

The run game, powered by Najee Harris (283 yards, 2 TDs) and change-of-pace back Nyheim Hines (83 yards, 1 TD), has provided crucial balance. Herbert has also contributed with his legs, adding 42 yards and a rushing score.

Defensively, the Chargers have delivered timely stops, sealing narrow wins over the Raiders and Broncos before a statement road victory against the New York Giants in Week 4.

                Game Results
                Week 1 — Kansas City: L, 28–23
                Week 2 — @ Las Vegas: W, 20–17
                Week 3 — Denver: W, 31–28
                Week 4 — @ New York (N): W, 37–23

                Offensive Leaders
                Passing: Justin Herbert — 72/97 (74.2%), 935 YDS, 8 TD, 0 INT (131.5 RTG)
                Rushing: Najee Harris — 70 ATT, 283 YDS, 4.0 AVG, 2 TD
                Receiving: Ladd McConkey — 23 REC, 345 YDS, 15.5 AVG, 1 TD

                Injury Report
The Chargers have been hit with key injuries to TE Tyler Conklin (shoulder, week-to-week) and RB Omarion Hampton (ribs, 3–7 weeks). WR Tre Harris (finger) and IOL Teven Jenkins (shoulder) are also sidelined.

                Looking Ahead
With a healthy Herbert and a roster capable of winning in multiple ways, the Chargers appear poised to challenge for the AFC West crown. A mid-season stretch against division rivals will be pivotal in determining whether this hot start translates into a deep playoff run.

I currently sit at 10-5-1 in my All Madden Niner franchise. I just had a nice win vs the Bears where both my big Edge Rushers missed (Bosa and rookie Williams). Current Snap Shot with a game left is the following:

                  PASSING
                  Purdy 69% 3984 yards 25 Tds 12 Ints 98.7 Rate

                  RUSHING
                  CMC 1195 yards 7 tds
                  Juice 350 yards 5 tds

                  RECEIVING
                  Kittle 86 rec 1098 yards 7tds
                  BA 87 rec 1016 yards 5 Tds
                  Pearsall 70 rec 757 yards 1Td
                  Juice 62 rec 510 yards 3 tds
                  CMC 52 rec 475 yards 9 tds

                  TACKLES
                  Warner 101 tackles

                  SACKS
                  Bosa 13.0
                  Williams 13.0

                  INT
                  Lenoir 3

With one game to go, I have still been undercenter 100% of the time this season. Despite that I've only taken 15 sacks and 5 of them came vs Indy a couple games ago. I am contemplating adding 4-5 gun forms for the playoffs but my problem is I don't know what formations I'd want to take out I'd say my offense thus far is in compressed sets about 75% of the time and I'm function just like the old Niner WCO of the dynasty days that I love so much. Brock has been really good except for 2 games (half his Ints and sacks have come in just 2 games). His got a quick release and is pretty quick in the pocket (90 accel) but he's not that fast (78 spd). I think I may help him out especially on third downs with some gun forms but I'm kinda conflicted because I really did want to try to go 100% undercenter

Gamewise....I do not use any offensive or defensive loadouts and I do not use any of the playsheets. I use the loadouts for scouting and player development.

CHARGERS IMPROVE TO 4–2 WITH 33–10 WIN OVER DOLPHINS

Justin Herbert threw for 294 yards and two touchdowns as the Chargers improved to 4–2 with a dominant win over Miami.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The Los Angeles Chargers made an early statement in Week 7, jumping out to a 17-point first-quarter lead and never looking back in a convincing 33–10 road victory over the Miami Dolphins.

Justin Herbert was in complete command of the offense, completing 19 of 29 passes for 294 yards and two touchdowns, both to wide receiver Ladd McConkey. McConkey carved up the Dolphins’ secondary, hauling in 7 receptions for 123 yards, including scores of 33 and 19 yards in the opening quarter to put L.A. firmly in control.

Miami was without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who missed the game with a shoulder injury. Zach Wilson got the nod in his place, throwing for 267 yards and a 1-yard touchdown pass to Tyreek Hill in the fourth quarter, but also tossing an interception as the Dolphins’ offense sputtered most of the afternoon.

Cameron Dicker added four field goals on the afternoon, while running back Najee Harris provided balance on the ground with 45 yards on 15 carries and a 2-yard touchdown plunge in the third quarter. The Chargers’ offense racked up 380 total yards and averaged 9.2 yards per pass play.

Defensively, Los Angeles stifled Miami’s rushing attack, holding the Dolphins to just 26 yards on 13 carries. The Chargers’ defense also came up with two takeaways and applied consistent pressure, keeping Miami from mounting any serious comeback threat.

With the win, Los Angeles improves to 4–2 on the season, while the Dolphins drop to 3–3. The Chargers return home next week to host the Indianapolis Colts at SoFi Stadium.

It's the only way I have played thus far. I don't see a need to change it. That said, I have not ventured into Franchise mode yet. I have only been playing "quick play" till I'm ready to start my franchise, but I just haven't had the Robo QB issue. I played the Raiders last night with my Bucs and it was 13-0 at halftime - 8 minute quarters, no clock run-off. Geno Smith was 7-14 passing, no Robo QB to be found in my played games so far. That said, I know that in years past, games would play/feel very different in exhibition mode from Franchise, so I may jump into Franchise and find the Robo QB waiting for me. If i do, I'll just deal with it. I used to be a constant slider tweaker, but now I just want to play my 'chise. So if the QB is killing me, then I just look at it as a need to get better or change up how I play - maybe I change who my user is, or how I'm calling my coverage, etc.

Cameron Dicker drilled the game-winning 38-yard field goal with eight seconds left as the Chargers edged the Colts at SoFi Stadium.

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — In a game full of wild momentum swings, four interceptions from Justin Herbert, and a relentless Colts rushing attack, the Los Angeles Chargers somehow found a way to escape with a 33-32 victory over the Indianapolis Colts thanks to the steady right leg of Cameron Dicker.

The Chargers (5-2) trailed 32-30 with under a minute to play after Colts kicker Chad Ryland nailed his third field goal of the day, but Herbert led a poised two-minute drill that set up Dicker’s 38-yard game-winner with eight seconds remaining.

Herbert had a rocky afternoon, completing 23-of-34 passes for 210 yards, one touchdown, and four costly interceptions. Still, the veteran quarterback delivered when it mattered most, capping the decisive drive with a short scramble to set up the winning kick.

The Colts (3-4) leaned heavily on Jonathan Taylor, who gashed the Chargers defense for 114 yards and two touchdowns on just 16 carries, including a 46-yard burst in the third quarter. Rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson managed 192 passing yards without a turnover, but Indy’s four giveaways — including a fumble returned 20 yards for a Chargers score — proved fatal.

Keenan Allen paced the Chargers receiving corps with 7 catches for 73 yards, while Ladd McConkey added 5 receptions for 58 yards. KeAndre Lambert-Smith hauled in Herbert’s lone touchdown pass from eight yards out in the first quarter.

Defensively, Los Angeles bent but didn’t break, forcing turnovers and holding Indianapolis to 30% on third down.

The Chargers return to action next week at home against the Minnesota Vikings in a Thursday Night PrimeTime battle, while the Colts look to rebound when they return home to take on the Tennessee Titans.

CHARGERS AT MIDSEASON: A CONTENDER TAKING SHAPE
By Staff Writer — Madden 26 Franchise

LOS ANGELES — At the halfway mark of the 2026 season, the Los Angeles Chargers are proving themselves to be one of the AFC’s most balanced contenders. Sitting atop the AFC West with a 6-2 record, first-year head coach Lou Foster has guided his team to six wins in their last seven games, including a current three-game winning streak, after a narrow opening-night loss to the Chiefs.

The Chargers’ formula has been a mix of efficient quarterback play, a steady rushing attack, and timely defensive stands. They rank among the league leaders in scoring offense with 225 points, while allowing just 171 — a margin that underscores their ability to close out games late.

                            Herbert Leading the Charge
Justin Herbert continues to be the heartbeat of the franchise, putting together another Pro Bowl-caliber campaign. The Oregon product has thrown for 1,844 yards and 14 touchdowns with a 71% completion rate through eight games. Despite taking 13 sacks and tossing seven interceptions, Herbert’s poise in high-leverage moments has kept the Chargers’ offense moving. His 106.4 passer rating ranks among the AFC’s best, and his chemistry with rookie standout Ladd McConkey has added a new dimension to the passing game.

                            Ground Game by Committee
The offseason addition of Najee Harris has provided Los Angeles with a reliable workhorse in the backfield. Harris has logged 552 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 128 carries, averaging 69 yards per game. Nyheim Hines (177 yards, 1 TD) and Hassan Haskins (165 yards, 1 TD) have offered valuable rotational support, while rookie Omarion Hampton has shown flashes of power with 145 yards in limited action. Herbert himself has chipped in with 80 rushing yards and two touchdowns, giving the Chargers a versatile ground presence.

                            McConkey’s Breakout
No player has energized the passing attack more than 2nd year wideout Ladd McConkey. The Georgia product leads the team with 42 receptions for 624 yards and three touchdowns, averaging nearly 90 yards per game. Veteran Keenan Allen remains a steady presence with 487 yards and four scores, while tight end Will Dissly has provided red-zone reliability with three touchdowns of his own. Together, this trio has made Herbert’s life easier and the Chargers’ offense one of the most efficient in football.

                            Looking Ahead
The Chargers’ schedule stiffens in the second half, with road games at Tennessee, Jacksonville, and Kansas City looming. A Week 10 primetime clash with Pittsburgh and a divisional rematch with the Broncos will also test their mettle. But with momentum on their side and stars on both sides of the ball playing at a high level, Lou Foster’s Chargers enter the stretch run with legitimate aspirations of not just a division crown, but a deep playoff push.

For now, Los Angeles stands tall in the AFC West — battle-tested, confident, and on track for one of their most promising seasons in recent memory.

CHARGERS FALL SHORT IN 24-23 HEARTBREAKER TO TITANS

Justin Herbert threw for 284 yards, but the Chargers came up just one point short in Nashville.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Los Angeles Chargers saw their comeback attempt fall just short, dropping a nail-biting 24-23 decision to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

The Titans opened the game with a lightning strike, as Tony Pollard ripped off a 75-yard touchdown run on their first possession. Cam Ward then connected with Jalen Tolbert for a 49-yard score, putting Tennessee up 14-0 early. Justin Herbert and the Chargers responded, with Keenan Allen hauling in a 15-yard touchdown late in the first quarter.

The second quarter saw the Chargers claw back. Cameron Dicker’s 32-yard field goal cut into the deficit, and Najee Harris powered in a one-yard touchdown to give Los Angeles a brief 17-14 lead. But Ward found Pollard on a one-yard pass just before halftime, swinging momentum back to Tennessee, 21-17.

Dicker would remain busy, nailing field goals from 44 and 46 yards, while Greg Zuerlein’s 38-yarder for the Titans provided the decisive edge. Despite Herbert’s late push, the Chargers couldn’t find the end zone again, and Tennessee held on for the one-point victory.

Herbert threw for 284 yards and a touchdown but was intercepted twice. Tight end Tyler Conklin led the receiving corps with 7 catches for 74 yards, while second-year wideout Ladd McConkey continued his strong season, hauling in 4 receptions for 100 yards.

For the Titans, Pollard dominated with 128 rushing yards and a touchdown, plus a receiving score. Jalen Tolbert added 118 yards and a touchdown through the air.

The Chargers fall to 6-3 on the season, now tied with the Denver Broncos for first place in the AFC West.

The loss was made worse by the news that starting left guard Teven Jenkins fractured his elbow during the game. The injury will sideline him for the remainder of the season, and he will be placed on Injured Reserve.

The Chargers (6-3) and Steelers (6-2) square off in a primetime AFC clash at SoFi Stadium.

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — It doesn’t get much bigger than this in November football. The Los Angeles Chargers (6-3) return home to SoFi Stadium on Sunday Night Football for a marquee matchup against the 6-2 Pittsburgh Steelers, with first place in the AFC West and key playoff seeding implications on the line.

The Chargers are coming off a narrow 24-23 loss in Tennessee, a game that saw Justin Herbert throw for 284 yards but also toss two costly interceptions. Second-year wide receiver Ladd McConkey shined with 100 receiving yards, continuing his breakout season, but Los Angeles couldn’t quite close the gap late. The defeat dropped them into a tie with the Denver Broncos atop the AFC West.

The Steelers, meanwhile, are led by veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has thrown for 1,623 yards with 8 touchdowns and 6 interceptions this season. Rodgers has leaned heavily on newly-acquired wideout DK Metcalf, who leads Pittsburgh with 46 receptions for 454 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Defensively, Pittsburgh remains among the league’s most feared. T.J. Watt already has 10 sacks on the season and continues to wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks. Alex Highsmith provides additional pressure off the edge, while Minkah Fitzpatrick leads a physical secondary. The Steelers’ opportunistic defense ranks near the top of the AFC in takeaways, making Herbert’s ball security a key storyline.

Pittsburgh enters this matchup in first place in the AFC North after grinding out a hard-fought 10-6 home victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9.

                                Key Storylines
                                • Playoff Positioning: Both teams are firmly in the AFC race. A win for the Chargers would keep them in control of the AFC West, while the Steelers look to hold onto first place in the AFC North.
                                • Protecting Herbert: With left guard Teven Jenkins placed on IR after fracturing his elbow, Los Angeles must shuffle its offensive line. Keeping Watt and Highsmith off Herbert will be critical.
                                • Rodgers in Primetime: Rodgers is no stranger to the big stage. Even at age 42, he has the poise to win tough road games.
                                • McConkey’s Momentum: The second-year receiver has emerged as a dynamic threat, and he’ll look to continue his hot streak against a physical Pittsburgh secondary.
                                • Watt’s Dominance: With 10 sacks already, T.J. Watt is the focal point of Pittsburgh’s defense and the Chargers’ top protection concern.

                                Players to Watch
                                • Justin Herbert, QB, Chargers — Needs to rebound after a pair of picks against Tennessee. His ability to stretch the field could be the difference.
                                • Ladd McConkey, WR, Chargers — Coming off his first 100-yard performance of the season, the second-year playmaker has become Herbert’s top downfield target.
                                • Aaron Rodgers, QB, Steelers — The future Hall of Famer has thrown for 1,623 yards this year. His efficiency and decision-making remain Pittsburgh’s X-factor.
                                • DK Metcalf, WR, Steelers — The new addition has given Pittsburgh a true No. 1 option with 46 catches, 454 yards, and 3 scores.
                                • T.J. Watt, EDGE, Steelers — Already with 10 sacks, he’s the most disruptive force on the field.

                                What’s at Stake

For the Chargers, a win means holding serve at home and staying atop the AFC West alongside Denver. A loss would drop them into the thick of the Wild Card race. For Pittsburgh, a road victory cements their reputation as a contender and strengthens their hold on the AFC North lead.
