Halftime & Weekly Recap Show

I have been reading about these two new additions to Franchise mode in forums and I must say.......I enjoy them both. First I wanted to clear up misinformation, the halftime show shows your game plus 2 others and the weekly game results whether finished or at halftime etc. After the game is completed you do get more highlights of your game that week and then 2 to 3 brand new teams on the weekly recap that weren't shown during the halftime show.

This is bare bones right now but is still decent imo. It gives me something to see about other games an definitely is something I hope is built upon. I literally watch them all to rack up the hours for EA on my part lol. Madden has lacked so much over the past 2 decades and I refuse to complain about a show I've wanted for years just because it isn't fully fleshed out year 1. I know EA doesn't have the best track record but im content with the addition for now. If this goes on for 2 to 3 iteration of no updates or changes then yea, issues. All in all I think the hate for it is normal fandom wanting the best and everything upfront day 1; but this is definitely an addition to enjoy while completing weekly tasks during franchise. Yeah, I really love that they did this. Unfortunately, with me playing only offense, it sims past the halftime show often. 🤣

They did a good job of having a variety of plays; from long passes, RBs running through players, I think I even saw a non-touchdown. In my opinion, the number of highlights of players jumping over players is a bit much.

Not sure if it 's a bug or what, but if you use Teambuilder teams or relocate teams, those teams do not show on either show. So if you get to the playoffs and all the games have at least 1 Teambuilder or relocated team in each game, then you get a box saying no highlights are available (or whatever the message words are).

As a long time Madden player, having a halftime and weekly show was something I solely missed. While I agree it is bare bones, it's a much needed "addition"...not sure why it was removed in the first place but that's different conversation lol. I think the addition of Scott Hanson is fantastic, it's a level is realism that Madden has been missing for years!

Yea i haven't used team-building in madden, only in college but thats something they have to build upon. Its been an issue for years with created anything. Names for players, teams, rookies etc. Hopefully its an improvement they can make an add onto each you. Gives us like 5 names of each alphabet with audio an then grow it with updates each year.

THIS! This is my biggest issue when it comes to immersion in Madden is "NAME CALLING" MLB SHOW/NBA 2K - have a freakin database with names the commentator will call all you gotta do is look in the database. Sad that they haven't figured out how or don't care about the rookies names being called as you move through your franchise.

Im content with it as well. The frequency of replays isn't as repetitive enough to bother me. I do see juke moves for tds by running backs. I've seen hurdles, stiff arms, aggressive catches, toe taps, qb runs, and rb catches out the backfield just off the top of my head. Just keep building ea is the motto for me. Add more replays. Yea the defense is questionable at times but thats similar to real life imo. Defenses do stupid stuff like leave wr open, miss open field tackles they should've made. Hell my Jags are on the cover because of something stupid so im not throwing stones. Flesh out stats more than just the qb etc and find a way to show me my game once n add in more teams for the halftime n weekly recap with one of them not including my game to give room for other teams. Its a step in the right direction so all love from my side

Another issue is sometimes right handed QBs are shown throwing left handed.

Yes, to all of this. People will certainly disagree, but I myself say Madden knocked it out of the park this year. A+ from me. I actually bought it on pre-sale, which in my 30 or so years of gaming, I've only done that a handful of times. The changes they made were more than enough for me to "reward" them with me buying it early and not waiting until it drops to $20 or so.

They have defensive highlights and special teams highlights. I had a game winning fg. Those highlights only happens for user controlled teams in the weekly recap.

I REALLY enjoy Madden this year. However, if the halftime and weekly recap had been better, we gotta talk about M26 being one of the best sports titles ever .

I just started an online Franchise with my sons and it was cool to see highlights from their games in the weekly recap!
