Madden NFL 26 Update #4 to Include Gameplay Improvements, New Face Scans and More
I want to say I'm certain I saw an Eric Rayweather Youtube vid that mentioned a massive Madden Title update on the way, or was I seeing info about the latest CFB update? Thanks!Tags: None -
They already did a September patch so I’ll be shocked if they did another patch this month.
but given their history, I’m sure the October will be the “big” patch but for me, if it doesn’t address mediocre QBs completing 75% of passes then I don’t careComment

I hear they are putting logic in so that when a team losing by seven in OT kicks a FG or punts on fourth down, it only counts as half of a loss😂 1Comment

I'd just as soon have a tie and not even go into OT if they're going to half-*** it this bad. This should have been fixed already and it's a month since release.👍 1Comment

Top 5 fixes for me.
1a. Pass rush and more specifically DT pass rush. Garbage DTs just blowing past All Pro centers and guards. I feel like I would have less of a problem if there were too many sacks for edge players. But since it's a DT problem it's game breaking for me.
1b. CPU QB accuracy. It can be fixed with sliders but then you get all these horrible wobbly passes. NFL average is 65% and in a 16 game sim the average was 73%. If EA could simply trade less sacks for less completions the passing game would be pretty dialed in.
3. A.I. playcalling. This is a problem just like it was the last couple of years. On default sliders in the same 16 game sim the run-pass ratio was 37:63 and that was with a 73% completion percentage. Once you start making the CPU have a lower comp % the ratios get even worse. I've seen plenty of 20:80 ratios.
4. A.I. coach decision making. What can I say, they don't do what NFL coaches do. Or what even high school coaches do. The first time a dev saw the CPU punt to lose the game in OT they should have stopped everything to fix it. It shows there lack of commitment to solo offline players. They know a User vs User would never make that decision so who cares.
5. Tackle assists and TFLs. They are not tracked correctly, not even close. My top tackler has 40 solo and 80 assists. TFLs need 0.5 scoring and only two players. I would almost prefer they ditch assists altogether because they have never gotten it right.
This will never be patched back but owner mode should not have been removed. It's was a stupid decision. It's pretty dumb to have a 30 year mode with a character that realistically lasts 4-5 years. Owner was really the only role that actually made sense for the game. So now your left to create or use a coach for 30 years. Only one coach in NFL history has had 30+ years with one team. Only 3 have coached 30+ years at all. It just isn't a realistic experience.

1. Allow us to choose weather and announcers for franchise games
2. Add color to team logos in the score ticker
3. Allow for mass editing ala NBA 2k Quick edit function
4. Allow for team builder use in offline franchise plus play now (hate that I cant try out a team without starting a franchise smh)
5. 1 button push to select/deselect all teams when starting franchise

They MUST add headsets to custom coaches. It’s ridiculous to create your own coach and have tons of options on what they can wear but not have them wearing a headset. Looks completely ridiculous and unrealistic for a game that is supposed to be about realism.Last edited by niftyjets; 09-12-2025, 09:49 PM.👍 5Comment

I remember playing Madden '12 alot and going through editing of every DT's block shed rating by like 20 I believe to help this problem.Which goes into why a global editor would be nice.👍 1Comment

Not necessarily. Good chance for sure but it really depends more on whether they need any new assets for the season or if those assets were already staged in a previous update.Comment
