I'm not used too much to ps4, but seem a lot better than ps3. Especially the AI for the zone D. I think people can start to really use the zone D as their base defense now. And this is a big improvement

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions (PS4)
Top CB's play like it....
Graphics are crisper......cleaner
Real draft picks. Start a CFM and you'll see Washington does not have a 1st rd pick. The Rams have it.
Now it does not have all of the draft pick trades, but it's a start. Hopefully they follow what goes down during the offseason and get all the draft picks correct of who owns what for '15!Comment

Madden NFL 25 Impressions (PS4)
Pretty thankful to finally be able to inject a positive word into this thread... Last night I decided to give this game another go with default slider settings on All-Pro. I removed the Madden app completely and reinstalled it. Then I edited one team with FBG ratings. The results were phenomenal!
My conclusion is that the player ratings impact the ignite engine much more significantly than they did with previous engines. Donny Moore has the players rated so poorly in Madden 25! While editing the team, I noticed offensive linemen with WR like stats. 70 jump rating for an offensive lineman? 70 speed for another? Really Donny?
No wonder Madden plays so poorly, and can't be fixed with sliders. I swear that guy just "throws spaghetti against the wall" when rating these players.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions (PS4)
Something that I have never done on any Madden and on any system is to recover an onside kick I did for the first time last night!!
Good job for that..I'm also getting a lot more holding penalties???hmmm maybe they slid something in without telling us.....Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions (PS4)
I feel they have done this before, running to the outside has never been easier and this started a few weeks ago. What the game played like at launch was was better run gm wise in online play. Now im just smhComment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions (PS4)
EA Sports is a joke. I gave Madden a chance thinking next gen would be better and for the 9th year in a row I was disappointed. This is the NBA Live of football. I would bet everything I love that if 2K made Football games Madden would turn into NBA Live and no one would buy it.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions (PS4)
I swear this game is unplayable
Look at these two videos that happened an hour ago
1st one the Rams WR is clearly in the endzone but they said he was out of bounds when he hurdles out wtf
2nd I clearly get a INT with two feet in bounds but the Refs said that the play was ruled incomplete. How!?
I hate this game smhComment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions (PS4)
My impressions are, the game has been so bad, any slight improvement people are now happy as we no longer know what good video game football is.
While slightly better then last gen, the game is still full of bad legacy issues. WR/DB interactions are horrid and that alone makes the game not fun for me to play. Tackling is a joke with Corner backs hitting a 250 LB running back , movement while better with true step, still only effects a couple players.
Still no penalties? 25 years no penalties. Presentation is still horrid. etc..could go on and on.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions (PS4)
A quick(ish) review:
Graphics: The Good: Great field effects, with the gradual wear, grass coming up when players are running and nice looking grass itself.
The Bad: The worst graphics I have seen on PS4 so far. Some things I swear looked better on old PS2 Maddens. Compare these graphics even to PS3 NCAA and they aren't really favourable.
On - field Game play: The Good: I think the passing is pretty good, and pass blocking is reasonable on the whole. I also think the speed of the players is pretty realistic.
The Bad: Hardly any penalties with default sliders, but that can be fixed. Poor interaction between receivers and DBs as someone mentioned above.
Presentation: The Good: I really like the menus, and the layout of CFM is nice. Good stat overlays in game and on the pause menu.
The Bad: I know I mentioned the graphics already but I think they take away from the general game. You have great looking menu screens and then underwhelming on-field visuals.
Sound: The Good: They've definitely improved the commentary this year. It actually seems to relate to the action on the field and seems more NBA 2k-like. I always enjoy the NFL Films - style menu music too.
The Bad: Quiet referees when announcing penalties.
Overall I'd say that even though the game doesn't feel next-gen, it plays a good game of football.
I think for 15 we will see a massive visual improvement and a big step on the field as well.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions (PS4)
Complete and total letdown, period.
Almost a carbon copy of 360/PS3 game, no discernible improvements anywhere of any kind.
Was very happy that I did not purchase - honestly I feel like I got taken to the wood shed by renting it, several hours and $5.95 I can never get back.
I am done with Madden - I will continue to attempt to throw out quality ideas on this site for improvements, and will undoubtedly poor over the previews and then the eventual reviews - but I am firmly locked into the "blankety blankin prove it already" camp.
I really believe that a site like this should organize some sort of "community" campaign in which we all wait no less than 2 weeks before purchasing and refrain from pre-orders all together - in other words it is time to make EA "prove it first" to get our dollars. I am not saying to not purchase it at all - but let's make EA sweat a bit. I doubt the long time community leaders here have the gusto - likely afraid EA will cut them out of community day events, early copies and what not - but I can't drop the cash up front anymore...Comment

To tell you the truth I didn't realise this game was pretty much a port from last gen.
Having said that though it is a good edition of Madden and I'm pleased I made the purchase even after playing the first game and going "what the heck is this?"
