CCM - incorrect roster ratings

When you go to start the connected franchise mode, it asks you if you want to import a roster, and I chose that option as otherwise I get the preseason rosters. But when I go to look at the player ratings, they're not correct. Some players are higher and some lower than they are in my custom file, which is basically just the latest EA roster with some tweaks to certain players. But even players that I didn't touch are incorrect, for example - Josh Gordon is 2 OVR less than I had him as, and Mike Glennon is 5 OVR higher than he is when I'm looking at the player ratings in the main menu, outside of the game mode, and I never touched any of his ratings. What's going on here?!

These Schemes are the dumbest things I have ever seen, they need to be re-done or just deleted.

Very annoyed to start a CCM with the Lions and change the QB scheme to Balanced QB just to have Stafford drop like 4 points because hes a much better overall player if I put Strong Arm, this is just stupid to have this in the game.

His in-game ratings are still the same regardless of scheme. Schemes were a brilliant add.

nothing changes except he looks like a lower overall he still has same ratings he just doesnt fit that scheme, schemes are a good add

Just to confuse you when your in manage roster are your trying to decide who to re-sign or cut, then when your in depth chart you move around people because of there overalls just to go into the game and realize you have an 82 benched for a 74 cause his stupid scheme was better...............to me its a worthless add

I agree, love the idea but its done poorly. Maybe have someone rated 90 (81), the (81) showing how well hes perceived in your scheme, don't tell me a guy is an 81 when hes not, hes only an 81 cause some Big Mauler, Protostype or Red Zone threat scheme says so

Wait so me reloading hundreds of rosters and tooling around with them to try to get the players in the Connected Franchise Offline the same ratings I see outside of it in roster is because of this scheme?

So when I do a fantasy draft all there ratings are changing because of some sort of scheme?!?

Careful....they take it out because people gripe because they don't understand and this series will take 10 steps backward.

Schemes are critical for CPU management and can help guide people who don't know what they are doing. I still remember the old days where CPU teams would sign small 43 ends to play in a 34 defense; teams with power run games would pick up small speed backs, etc. The scheme system allows teams to pick up players that best complement their system. It helps to keep the game far more realistic than it otherwise would be.

This was one of the most brilliant moves made in Madden by EA in years when they incorporated it last year.

I agree. If you don't like it, just don't look at the overall rating. Look at the specific ratings which apply to your style of play.


This combined with the ability to quickly substitute using the RB button during play calling allows the game to feel more realistic.
