I think 2k is coming back and EA feels threatened so they finally put some money and time into making a better Madden. Basically they're admitting that they've screwed over fans... I'm going to buy 2k and ignore Anything EA.

Re: Madden NFL 15 Screenshot - Colin Kaepernick with Tattoos
This was actually #1 on the operationsports forum Wishlist.
"1. Completely redo the player models - The player models I think really hurt this being having a true next gen feel. The look extremely dated in comparison. No tattoos for players like Colin Kaepernick really hurts in the new next-gen era. When you compare how NBA 2K14 looks to this it really shows a redesign is needed. Also, a player like Aaron Rodgers shouldn't have the same body type as Big Ben. Yes they are both quarterbacks but their body types are completely different. And since you're redoing everything, it is high past time for the dead eyes of all their player models to go away. Ask the FIFA team for help since their models look great but EA needs to be shooting for something like what we got with NBA 2K14. When I'm playing with Kaepernick, I should be able to tell he's Kaepernick."
Well it looks like that was done!Comment

Let's wait until we see GAMEPLAY. Yeah it looks nice, but how does it play?Comment

The ball size actually looks legit. I'm not too sure how it looked in 25 given that I was not able to get a next gen console but he actually looks like he can legitimately place his fingers on the laces and throw the ball. Just a small thing I noticed compared to the jumbo balls in past Maddens.Comment

Like has already been stated repeatedly ITT, very nice looking still shot, even better than what the stills usually look like this time of year. I won't rant about legacy motion or gameplay concerns because these are just stills.
What I will point out is the obvious tats and even though they too look great, I'm interested to find about how this all came about. For years around OS there has been this accepted claim, if I remember correctly expressed from some Madden dev or another, that the NFL didn't allow tattoos in Madden, I for one want to know what changed. I even went back to read that recent article about things the NFL won't allow in Madden and tattoos isn't in that write up. Meaning is this in fact some newly lifted restriction or was EA able to do this for some time but didn't.
FYI, it matters to me because I like to know the facts whenever possible.Comment

Just as far as aesthetics, look at the detail in how the shoulder flap of the shoulder pad is visible through the jersey. The flap jacket looks more detailed than usual as well. However, if this is the equipment as far as gloves and cleats, they are still way behind. Imagine if 2k still had the same basketball shoes as they did in 2k10. This is practically what Madden is puling off if they don't update these cleats and gloves. Gotta get the detail like that if they absolutely want to nail player authenticity.Comment

Oh damn! I personally hate Madden and consider it one of the worst next gen games but I gotta say, that looks amazing!Comment

Not really a football fan but this looks really great. Didn't really amaze me at first until I saw the comparison to last year. Hopefully this is actually in-game.

It looks to me like a full body scan. Which is something I was cautiously optimistic about when I saw the transformation video. Outside of not being able to tell what the hell the lineman are doing the screen looks awesome and on par with other next Gen graphics. Since tats are back at least that means EA won't be hyping up grass lol.Comment

Agreed, but some people didn't think it was legit, so I wanted to pass it a long.Comment
