Funny that AWR means nothing in Madden, but that's how they make rookies LOOK worse than they actually are. Its a bit of a shortcut huh? Erg!

Awareness affects intangibles such as the CPU's general ability to control a player, the player's ability to react to an airborne football, a player's ability to react to a fumble, whether a player falls on a football or attempts to scoop-and-score, among other things.

On defense, many of the AWR rating's functions were passed over to the Play Recognition rating when it was first added in Madden 07.

7th rd pick LB Brandon Watts (MIN) - 60 OVR, 92 SPD, 91 ACC, 76 TAK, 43 AWR, 68 MCV, 75 ZCV

That's only two teams and four players. Those in online leagues: these are the players you get for cheap, keep for cheap, and they make a big impact.

Soooo many rookies with low AWR, low OVR and such great attributes.

I'm looking at the Bears' roster, and their rookie punter has 92/82 kick power and accuracy but a 53 awareness, so he is a 54 overall. I would like someone to explain to me the difference between a punter with low and high awareness. Does the rookie not know he is supposed to be punting the ball when he is on the field?

It appears, based on this spreadsheet, that Pass Block Strength, Pass Block Footwork, Run Block Strength, and Run Block Footwork have been removed from the game. Hmm.

I was under the impression they were out last year, but I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure I only remember being able to upgrade pass blocking, run blocking, and impact blocking in CFM

We'll didn't they say they didn't do nothing in the game anyways? why have extra ratings if they don't effect the player in any way.

They have Gilbert way too good. 94 speed and acc with 85 man and 86 zone. That 59 AWR is the only thing keeping that OVR south of 80

I really think tha the heave the bengals rating of 86 is overated for me I think the ravens should be 87 or 88 and the bengals should be the 86

I'm convinced they accidentally mixed up Kyle Long and Brian De la puenta's ratings. That's the only way I can explain a back up center being the second highest rated lineman on the team

On to the ratings. They seem fair to me.

Bengals have one of the best rosters in football. Their depth at corner is absolutely insane

Yeah, I don't like how lazy the "Ratings Czar" is. They only make players look different by changing their Awareness. Otherwise Gilbert and the CB from V-Tech are instantly Pro-Bowl caliber, as rookies!

I don't care about Madden stock rosters as I won't be using them. I must say the way EA rates these guys and the way there "ratings" work this is a joke.
