The video below would result in a lot of lawsuits according to some of you lol

Yeah I think what we have is some people trying to put their lawyer cap on when they have no business doing so. I know that sounds harsh but its the truth.

In NCAA the developers went 90% into putting college athletes in the game. All they did was have incorrect names. But they allowed the users to correct the names and share the updated rosters by using EA Share.

That first sentence is key. Were Madden to allow custom draft classes they would not be creating athletes, they would be allowing the user to create a player from scratch.

It is true that EA will be more cautious now after those suits, but that is not the reason custom draft classes are absent from the game. The truth is that it is absent from the game because it is/was not high on EA's priorities.

I wish we could just moves teams to a new city without havign to completely change the organization... Like the Los Angeles Raiders. THey have had the same uniforms since 1960. The only thing that has changed is where they play their games.

agreed if they were that gun shy about likenesses they wouldn't allow us to create a player before you start a franchise

This is true; however, there were small nuances that made it tough. For example; moving Oakland Raiders to Los Angeles (or anywhere) and keeping the uniforms would result in the endzone still reading "OAKLAND".

            Hopefully that has been fixed.

From the livestream, I am almost 100% positive that they said the above has been fixed.
                NHL: Chicago Blackhawks
                NFL: Kansas City Chiefs
                MLB: Kansas City Royals
                NCAA: Kansas Jayhawks

Okay, well why can't we choose the COLORS for a new relocation team? I get trying to avoid lawsuits controlling the LOGO and maybe even the uniform template, but WHY can't we have freedom to choose the colors? Someone quickly give me a reason that isn't logically thinner than a balding man's self-esteem.

I was thinking the same thing. logo and everything they can do. why cant we pick the colors and design the uni.. it has nothing to do with presentation,

I am just happy they replaced LA Dreams. When I heard that the first thing I think of is a new WNBA team not an NFL team.

I really hope the Portland River Hogs, Sacramento Condors and Oklahoma City Nighthawks have some good uniforms this year. Those are my three favorite team names in the game.

They did say it was fixed, the announcers will also say "Austin Raiders" or whatever city/team you choose.

if only we could swap those team names for each city. That'd be nice!

For example the Columbus Black Knights or Columbus Redwoods

Redwoods probably isn't the best example as they are only found in California lol, of course there is no Lions in Detroit (except for maybe a zoo) so maybe it would work.

In all seriousness though I agree with you I love some of the team names but hate the cities they belong to. Hopefully this is something that is added in future versions.

So its the same cities with the same team names and the same 3 options of ugly stadiums to choose from lol..

I think theres actually 6 stadiums but the three repeat themselves for what reason I have no idea (Just stupid if you ask me)

So basically were getting a little better defense, a little sharper graphics and thats about it?

LOL - if you look at it that way you would marginalize improvements to almost every sports game on a yearly basis.

We are not getting a brand new game - we are getting a better game.
