It's not a popular surname but it does exist in the world. According to ancestry.com there are over 3500 records of the surname Economy, most are of Greek origin and used Economy as the Americanized version of Economous. Again just because we have never seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist in the world. Before this years draft class how many people did you know what the surname Shembo (182 records on Ancestry)?

Re: A MAJOR improvement to CFM Drafts
How about current NCAA players with the following names:
1. Wave and Blaze Ryder (actual names not nicknames).
2. Silverberry Mouhoun
3. Cassanova Mckinzy
4. Sirgregory Thornton
5. Pharaoh McCkever.
If any of those were in the game previously I could only imagine the comments on here. Is Tremendous really that far off??Comment

Re: A MAJOR improvement to CFM Drafts
I still hate the naming engine, but I have worked on names databases for other sports apps, so I am fussy about it. My biggest problem with it is the ridiculously small pool of names. I mean, I don't mind having 10 Johnsons in my draft class. But four "McClam"s?
There are some other names that are very distinct that show up with way too much frequency. I think my last draft had three "Poteat"s as well. And three "Maclin"s too.
Also, can the islander linemen get some love please? They are non existent in draft classes.
Although, to be fair, there is something to be said for bad names. In past years my son and I got a big laugh out of my punter, "Niko Midgett" and my SS "Tremendous Johnson"...

There's was a WR in the NFL named Billy Williams and a defensive end named Joe Joseph. It's not common but it does happen.Comment

(No joke, one of the meteorologists is named Pete Sack. He will occasionally work with Mr. Johnson. And I laugh and I laugh.)Comment

Hey, there's a reporter here in Chicago named Dick Johnson. Some people just have weird/funny names.

Re: A MAJOR improvement to CFM Drafts
So it sounds like from reading this thread that there are no weekly storylines for the rookies in the draft? Someone said they are at week 2 and there are no storylines?
Also, someone said that all rookies have the revolution helmet and shoulder pads that are too big? Is this confirmed?Comment
