Happening to me for the 4th time right now. It's hard to support EA when something as stupid as this keeps happening.

Re: started over?
I agree. It's sucker bait I guess. EA seems to make a decent game and we all get excited about it. Then stuff like this happens and you wonder why we keep buying it. Don't get me wrong I love the game and the presentation, but this is unacceptable. I guarantee you that the majority people on this forum could create a Madden game 20 times better than those idiots at EA.Comment

Re: started over?
Wait, this is still happening to people almost a week later? I haven't booted the game up in several days. I need to check my stuff when I get home from work.Comment

Re: started over?
Same thing happened to me (ps4) and it also reset my sliders...I used sliders from the vault so it doesn't matter...but I just found it weird! No harm, no foul I guess. It was kinda of fun playing the opening sequence again anyway!!I'm a diehard St. Louis Cardinals Fan!! Birds on the bat til I die!Comment

Re: started over?
It gets frustrating having to play the opening sequence over and over and over again. I mean maybe twice is all good and well, but more than that is just a problem. I'm hoping the next patch they release will fix this problem. One can only hope....Comment

Re: started over?
I feel like it does this to me if I go into sleep mode or,turn off the system from within a game.
If I go to main menu in madden, wait a second so the profile saves, exit the game, and then shut down it hasn't done it to me.
The issue seems tied to the profile save getting "corrupted""Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: started over?
I don't know if the tuner make this bug happen more often, but before the tuner it happen to me only 1 time and after the tuner it happen almost everyday. I think it's my 4th or 5th time this week I play the seahawks - panthers game. I've made all the skills trainer, but no way I will do it again. This bug is very disgusting.
Do you have some tips to avoid the bug?Comment

Re: started over?
If we are keeping a running list, it has happened to me 4 times now. There is no rhyme or reason. Doesn't matter how you save, exit, etc it just deletes your profile. Even the one backed up online is wiped. Your saves, roster / sliders / cfm are still able to be loaded, but you have to redo all settings and go through the whole opening movie again.Comment

Re: started over?
I take back my post
I was super careful and it still just made me do it again
8th time I've had to go through the intro and redo my settings.
Has there been any word from ea? Is this only a problem for digital version?"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: started over?
Hey Gents, I started experiencing this and decided to test the cause of this. While this is in no way scientific it has fixed the issue or I should say it has not occurred since.
I experienced a similar issue with M25 and noted that with both M25 and M15 that during the initial loading screen that the game versions performed similarly in a successful and unsuccessful start up. Of course with M25 the result was different as not having to "start over".
if you watch the loading process the difference between a successful and unsuccessful loadup is during the user-profile load. If during the initial loadup process you never see the user-profile queried during the loading cycle (it usually one of the early ones) you are sent to the "start over" result. So the logical assumption is that the user-profile is getting corrupted. This was the same conclusion I came to with M25 a while back, never tested it though.
I went into test mode. I was able to recreate the problem after following the below steps and by intentionally diverting from steps 4 and 5. But the solution is what is important, follow steps 1-5 and don't divert from them. It has stop my "start over" issue:
1) deleted all things M15 on and offline - current user-profile most go to (it is corrupted, its the cause of the problem) - You might be able to only delete user-profile...not sure.
2) rebuild database - this step might not be needed but i did it because it is easy and gave best chance for success ( just be careful to follow the directions). This link is a quick how to but it is not from a professional source but should do the job. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49H1bL5srSc
3) reinstalled M15
4) I stopped manually saving my user-profile (not even in the beginning). The game saves it automatically if you accomplish something. I am not sure what triggers auto saves but playing a game does and a session in training drills has worked for me.
5) most important - close the game down properly. PS button / then on the user interface, center on the M15 game block, then hit triangle, i think? - a set of options will appear on the right on screen / then select close application.
I hope this works, it has for me - please give feedback so we help others with this issue.Last edited by ruskoz; 09-10-2014, 12:44 AM.Comment
