I think I understand his situation: I've bought many games that go largely unplayed, including Madden 25. While I played Madden 13 and NCAA 14 a lot, for some reason after Madden 25 came out, it was back to Head Coach 09 for me. Madden 12 and NCAA 12 also got ignored for HC09, as did Madden 09. Didn't buy Madden 10 and 11. (No coach mode, if I remember correctly.)

Yeah it's definitely an advanced game. lol


Just do this:

If your opponent come out in formations with 3 or more receivers, pick a Nickel, Dime or Quarter formation.

These formations put faster players on the field to stop or contain passing plays, but are susceptible to the run.

If your opponents come out in 2 receiver or multiple tight end sets, then go with a 34, 43, 44, 46 or goaline. These are good at stopping run players and most 2 receiver passing plays.

This should put you in the ballpark of figuring out your opponent.

The playcalling does take some used too. Question do you guys go by community or strategy? The first three plays they show u In both community and strategy are those the best three?

I'm sure how worthy the community strategy feedback is. I saw it my saved files and I'm not sure if it updates regularly.

I'll look again, but if it has 8/26/14 then it's not accurate.

You sound pretty similar to me, and what I do is use the coach suggestions with the enhanced play calling, giving you three choices each play. I do this on both offense and defense......for now. As time goes on I'll probably begin to call my own plays more and more, but for now the coach suggestions have been solid.

Yes. Pretty much. Every year it comes out and I say, "I'm going to pass on it this year." A week or two goes by and I see all these videos and in-game pics, and I cave. It happens every year. Last year I might have played through one season in Madden 25. The year before that I don't know if I ever even started a franchise.

It really does seem to me like there's a lot less time this year to pick plays on defense. And I remember the last time that I did play Madden somewhat regularly, I would often call a base cover 2 and then make adjustments at the line. There's MAYBE enough time for me to assign one player some kind of adjustment.
