You need to keep your players confidence up and train them when need be. You can't just burn all your hours on rookies and scrubs.
You are wrong. Very, very wrong. There is a huge problem with regression. WR/DB's lose speed like crazy. I will try to post a picture later. I had one franchise going I went into the season with Decker about 4 seasons in and had 41 speed.... and the problem is league wide.

    No problems LOL

It is game breaking because it happens to DB's too. Couple seasons in and your WR's run right by CB's with 64 speed.

      Here you go.

Unfortunately the WR FA class doesn't have a lot of them yet, I went and looked through the teams and there are so many under contract still. There are still a few in FA, every season the regress more. Also, the speed and acc doesnt impact the ratings much which sucks, Welker is the Browns starting WR with 70 speed.

The DB class with this bug is huge, and some are obviously still under contract but the DB's do seem to be let go and not resigned as much.

I am only 3, at the tail end of the 4th season in this CCM.

I uploaded 3 images, so you could see the name of the DB's.

Realistically for a guy of that age to keep being able to run at a competitive speed he needs conditioning. I don't know why this isn't occurring on my game, but it looks as though EA was trying to make players degrade realistically, and my guess is originally intended for game prep to cost fewer hours and allow for things like this to be addressed via XP packages, changes the game prep system and then forgot to adjust regression. It's certainly not a bug, just a huge oversight that EA likely couldn't fix with a patch.

Not that I'm really defending EA. Just saying, some variation of what I said is probably what happened there.
Start a separate cfm. Sim to the end of 2nd or 3rd season. Sim all your game prep just as the cpu teams do. Don't interfere with anything. Look at the changes that happen and tell me it's not questionable. It may not bug you that the rest of the league has zero roster management ability and you end up with guys like Brees backing up geno smith in New York. Or the Panthers cutting Newton to clear cap space and signing more rb's with the space. I'm not saying it is unplayable. It's a great game and I play alot. But I would hate to see someone play and get invested in a single team cfm just to see the rest of the league go all sideways and ruin it for them.

Did the op ever get a solid answer bere? I was wondering the same thing.

AsiDE from getting the updates quicker, is there any other real advantage to playing online?

I only ask because offline gives some more room for control.
