After seeing those photos of Madden 16 and seeing that the game looks identical to 15 (same bad grass that looks like a carpet, same dead lighting, same dead colors)... Sorry playboy, but thats out the window. Graphics department took a long vacation this season.

I'm not basing it off of any of that, just wait until more info comes out and E3, you'll see I'm not just blowing smoke. One of the screenshots with OBJ still shows him in last year's uniform, so that should give you a good idea of how long ago in development that was taken. He's wearing the 90th anniversary patch.Comment

M15 was no turning point for me unless you're talking about turning me away from the game.
Confidence was implemented horribly
XP system/scouting/Game Prep system flat out are bad
WR/DB interactions were atrocious (I don't user catch it's too easy)
If it wasn't for online CFM I wouldn't even visit this forum or play this game. It's that simple. For all I think they do wrong the online CFM portion of the game is the best in the business.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

Re: Some Madden NFL 16 Features Revealed, Pre-Order & Deluxe Edition Details
Ok,while that sounds good, We hear that same thing every year...Lots of gameplay and lots of features (improvements and new) .... Then when the game actually comes out, the new stuff is almost always broken in some way. My main concern is , i honestly dont think they test this stuff well enough. If so , then Looman and his CFM crew need to hit the road. That confidence BS ( while in theory is a good idea) was so horribly unbalanced and just bad all around. It honestly looked liken no one tested it. Guys losing 10 points a game for bad games and only gaining 4 max for great ones. CBs losing points every game just because they didnt get an INT, I could go on , but no time or space for all that. Then mix that in with the just ignorant fact , that goals ( for some dumb reason) still cant be adjusted to match minutes per quarter. So some positions have goals you wont ever met. Then they hit 30 and its like they turned into my grandpa and in one year drop 15 points in speed, and 10-15 points in acceleration... Like who the F tested this crap and thought it was in any way , shape, or form even close to how it should be. If it was tested, then those testers are horrible. EA needs to invite in some CFM heads , to test CFM stuff for them, before the game is out .Not just hand us this messed up system ( theres alot more i could go into ,but this is already too long) and then not even friggin patch it , after we have had it a month and raised concerns over the issues. They just turned a blind eye on CFM last year , 1 patch, for i think it was amount it cost CBs to upgrade man and zone coverages and maybe a couple other tiny tweaks. Nothing else after that. We were stuck with a huge mess in CFM due to things totally either not tested, or tested and just thought" oh thats good enough" ..... So when i hear, lots of new gameply/features, no wonder my , and alot others , first thought is.....Well great more stuff that will be broken. CFM gets no love, and please, spare me the " there isnt a large enough fan base for CFM" comment. If its that meaningless, then just take it out of the game then instead of handing us a mess every year and say , deal with it.... we will be updating MUT all year...

Well I enjoyed M15 and look forward to what M16 brings.
Far from perfect but M15 was an enjoyable game.
Hope we do get some CFM love but more importantly to me more sim aspects on the field.
Lastly I'd love a real coach mode..
Please try and keep the conversations on M16 or else the thread will be closed.Last edited by jpdavis82; 05-18-2015, 10:49 AM.Comment

I think you're going to like M16 a lot, there's a good amount of gameplay improvements this year that I think people will appreciate, especially if you've been playing Madden for a long time, or you are looking for a more organic sim experience than Madden has delivered ever before. No football game has ever done for WR/DB interactions what M16 has, I guarantee that.
EDIT: question for everyone. Is it too early to call the ignite engine a bust ? Where's the shared technology that was promised ?Last edited by m1ke_nyc; 05-18-2015, 11:01 AM.It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment

Yeah, I remember that one because Clint said it to me on Twitter. You'll notice I didn't reply to it. The reason is, I fell to the floor laughing for a good few minutes, then logged off my computer for the day.Comment

This! Why not have a natural progression system? It's not that hard. Skill points/XP(or whatever it's called) completely kills all immersion for any mode that based on improving. You looking at the Chair MAN!

You also guaranteed Madden 25 and Madden 15 would be the games we were waiting for. Yes you said Madden 25 would be the game we were waiting for, it bombed mostly and you then said 15 would be that game, then backtracked and said it would be the turning point and it was better but still very mediocre. With all that said I hope your right but I'm not banking on it.

i totally agree, creating an XP system for online leagues , only does 1 thing . Makes people focus more on stats for players instead of focusing more on X's and O's .Once they figure out the "tricks" they can then get get the stats they need to really boost players. Not to mention , it really benefits the already better skilled players in leagues over the rest of the league members as well .Not like they need better players on top of already just being better at madden. This really needs to change, but i know it wont .Comment

I look forward to discussing all of this that I have been telling you guys about after E3 or when NDA is up, whichever comes first. I stand by everything I said about M16 and yeah I said those things about 25 and 15 but this time it's based on experience and knowledge not assumption.Comment

Re: Some Madden NFL 16 Features Revealed, Pre-Order & Deluxe Edition Details
It is already a success as far as EA is concerned given how many games they have successfully launched and will successfully launch in the future using the IGNITE engine. Its success or failure is not solely dependent on the perception of the thing as relevant to Madden NFL.Comment
