Re: Madden NFL 16 Screenshots
Madden has always looked great in screenshots. That's why I don't give much stock into screenshots. I just took this, and it's Madden 15. Looks the same quality as the Madden 16 pics.Attached FilesComment

Re: Madden NFL 16 Screenshots
I'm just simply not satisfied with these screenshots so far....NBA 2K practically looks like real life..Even NHL..an EA game looks much better than Madden....I'm truly disappointed. The gameplay better be amazing to justify not improving the graphics at all!PITTSBURGH PROUD

Re: Madden NFL 16 Screenshots
Madden NFL has to render 22 players, officials, dozens of sideline characters, and giant stadiums in a variety of environmental conditions, as compared to other team sports games rendering 10 or 12 players, three or four referees, a smaller number of sideline characters, and smaller stadiums in very controlled environments. With fewer things to render and fewer variables to account for, more computational and rendering resources can be allocated to each individual thing.
Comparing how a football game looks to how an indoor team sports game looks isn't really a fair comparison, the indoor sports game should almost always look better. I think FIFA, Pro Evolution Soccer, and any other competing football game which may emerge in the future are better points of references for graphics comparisons to Madden, as those games will face similar technical challenges to those in front of the Madden NFL team.Comment

As I've said in the past, I am no expert when it comes to game development. And, I think in terms of the course of a few years, Madden has come a long way graphically. So, I think any technical explanation of these challenges brings more understanding to the situation.PITTSBURGH PROUD

We put up with it for one season, but another one? They can do better. We expect everything to do with real football to be broken but the graphics are the last thing we would think would be jacked.

Makes sense, yeah. But still doesnt explain why they whites look dirty gray, all the colors are dull and the lighting looks all rusty and washed out.

I go to a game at Lambeau, the only thing I notice is if I go in October, everything is pink. At Lambeau in November, the stands are decked out in orange.Comment

As I said in the newer thread, I'm glad there are other people that point out the colors and inefficiencies of this game in this area.

Re: Madden NFL 16 Screenshots
Im glad the graphical fidelity didnt get better. If EA isnt talking up the graphics, then theyve been working on more worthwhile stuff. The graphics dont need to improve but the animations do. I hope animations are smoothed out like 2k8s were. Maybe not necessarily smoothed but more fleshed out, not all twitchy.
Anyway, I hope they are at a point where they can put away the magnifying glass and make movements look natural. Facescans are good and all, but you see them in replays and cut scenes, player likeness is just as much body mechanics.Comment

While the Graphics still look a bit cartoony, you do have a solid point.. The best thing for EA & Madden right now is to focus on the gameplay animations, as they are way way way behind, I mean like 10 years behind. So I agree animations should be the main focal point going forward. They have a lot of ground to make up...Comment

Re: Madden NFL 16 Screenshots
It's funny because I didn't really notice or have a problem with the color or lighting until the screenshot feature came out for Xbox last year. Once I took some screenshots and decided to edit them was when it really became evident to me how much better things could look.Comment
