I misunderstood you, no I think you can still do that but I didn't try to do that myself, I just know for me personally it's much faster to look at attributes on the player card, the key attributes for that position are all right in front of you so you don't spend time scrolling back and forth.

Re: What features are you most wanting to see in CFM?
Your missing the point. He can miss the block sometimes, not because he chooses not to, but sometimes he gets beat. I the game, it will look like he blows off the assignment. But in reality, the game is just not capable of showing exactly the animation it takes for the failed execution.
But as I said, no one complaining runs all of the numbers. they don't show the ratings of the OL and DL involved the play. They don't show how often those plays are expected to be successful. They don't show the YPC a back generates on specific plays. No, they just complain.
I get it. Because Madden is not a sim, it doesn't do simple things like generate a text file that logs every play and the results, which could then be used to verify actual results.
Because here's the deal. Back in the FBPro days, there were guys just like you that complained every time their team didn't succeed. But with FBPro, we could drill down and find the real reasons.
Sometimes we found actual flaws, and we might pull plays out of the playbook. Sometimes we found that overall, the numbers were fair, but some coaches called bad plays in certain situations. But because it was a sim, we had tools to make informed changes.
What I am saying is that I had no problem setting up sliders that worked for me that generated fairly good results by the end of gems. Yes, there are plays that if I go back and look at the replay, I can find a bunch of flaws. but in the big picture. Demarco Murray rambles for good yards between the tackles. Jamal Charles shows great burst through ha hole. They end up with fair YPC results. Lesser backs have lesser totals.
Madden is not a sim. Despite the rose colored glasses some where, neither was the 2K games. I loved 2K5 and 2K8, but holy cow was it easy to score 3-5 touchdowns in closing minutes. TE's were basically unstoppable. DB's played like morons. But it looked good, the animations were outstanding, and the results were not far off. It was a fun game.
The game you want has never existed. Ever. It definitely didn't exist on a console. The entire notion of picking up a controller and laying a game and calling it a sim is ludicrous to begin with. It only happened when sim games died on the PC.
If sim gamers work hard enough, I'm pretty sure they can kill sports games on the consoles, too. Joy.Comment

Re: What features are you most wanting to see in CFM?
in the old days of some madden you could look up all of a certain position inc FAs. i used to use this for trade targets or to then check if on trade block.
for example i want a rb to have good car so sort by that for all rbs
that went away sadly, you should never have to sign FAs blind
yje other thing is trades during draft
you want to see what pick number(s) it is if this year, for example trading back in the firstComment

Re: What features are you most wanting to see in CFM?
I'd really like a camera angle you see on TV. I'm so tired of the same view we have seen since the beginning of time. I know you can change to a side view but it is impractical when passing. I wish they work on revamping that.
I guess this would be for all modesComment

Re: What features are you most wanting to see in CFM?
I don't know if this is CFM specific, but I'd like to see a fifth difficulty setting. Rookie, Pro, All-Pro, All-Madden, and... Hall of Fame maybe? I don't care what they call it. But something so that I can't go 16-0 year after year with Oakland, Cleveland, or whoever else I want. At that point, the game is no longer about just trying to get a win, it's about doing it as perfectly as possible to get as much XP as possible to progress players. And I don't feel that's what it should be about.
I think the easiest way to go about this is something like back in 2008 when there were smart players who could tell what play you were running if you ran it too many times in a row. Perhaps adding something like that to the AI, and preventing people from running the same money plays over and over would make it more realistic?Comment

Re: What features are you most wanting to see in CFM?
I would like to see some sort of Fitness rating. And what I mean by that is make players with a low fitness rating come to camp out of shape. Or higher fitness come with great shape. During the off season a bad one can lead to injuries or a great one could lead to a breakout season. Players could lose/gain weight that affects speed & strength agility by no more than 5pts either way. I hav no idea if this could be implemented. This feature would add so much depth to the CFMLast edited by Introvese; 06-09-2015, 11:40 PM.Comment

Re: What features are you most wanting to see in CFM?
I made a list of the top 5 most requested features for CFM and passed them along to Kolbe & John White, two main devs for CFM now. Let me know if you guys agree or disagree with this list and what else you think the community wants most in CFM in M16,17, and so on, and I'll try to get your requests to them as more things are listed.
In order I said....
1. Formation Subs & Defensive Assignments
2. Edit draft classes
3. Scores & Stats Ticker
4. Weekly Wrap Up Show
5. Off & Def Coordinators(coaching carousel)
It's great that you do this, and that's a decent list.
But why would EA/Tiburon actually care about your list, or about making resource allocations in development with your requests in mind, when they and we and everyone know you will do full throated, relentless PR and promotion for the game no matter what they do?Comment

Re: What features are you most wanting to see in CFM?
It would be awesome to get more stats tracked and more records. Right now there's only a few records your can break, but it would be awesome for there to be more categories like Season/Game/Career: Completion %, Passes Defended, QB Pressures, Fumbles Forced & Recovered, Longest Play, etc.
It would also be awesome to see some team-specific records. For example, at the end of last season the Eagles played the Redskins in a meaningless game, but Zach Ertz broke the Eagles single-game reception record. It would be cool to be able to do that. I think breaking records is one of the most fun things to do in franchise.
You could also do that for coaches with their wins, super bowls, championship games, playoff appearances, etc.
The more stats and records the better. That's all we see on TV and it would be great for immersion.Comment

Re: What features are you most wanting to see in CFM?
There literally are no more excuses for me, this is now game number THREE in the PS4/XB1 era. It's been 7-8 years PAST DUE now for them to give us depth in our franchise modes and fix a lot of the bullcrap that they've spoon-fed us. Stop the excuses EA, other sports titles like NBA and MLB have started getting the idea. Pony up and don't skimp on things anymore. These lists have circulated for years. We want to EDIT PLAYERS. We want to fix your stupid mistakes. We want better options and offseason features. We want more historical data. Better roster control. Better coaching options. It's all here. Don't add one barebones thing and pretend you've done us all a favor.
I have voted with my wallet before, and won't think twice about skipping more Maddens until they give me a WAY better effort in franchise than they have been.Comment

Re: What features are you most wanting to see in CFM?
as a 360 user i want to play up the screen as defence like xboxone users
the most important stats for me from combine or searching are sta/tgh/inj
inj for all combine attendees should be available to all
sta could be inferred from film by coaches, accuracy affected by coach skill
tgh same with playing record, plays missed etc again affected by coach skillComment

Re: What features are you most wanting to see in CFM?
There's a litany of features I could go through, almost all centered around gameplay. The one thing that can be added that's needed is a true CPU AI for offline mode. The AI does not get any better at anticipating plays, snapcounts, etc as you increase the difficultly level. Instead the CPU's players ratings go up and they play in a non-human way, which is not enticing in the least. If a CPU AI was introduced, then there should be different AI's for different coaches too.
That's something they could put on the box and market too.Comment
