EA didn't listen/read about wishlist Full (4 scouts) scouting staff. The scouts give the grades of the players you scout. No more opening attributes. You build your draft board based on the info your scouts give each player. That's why you pay them correct?
You hire & Fire your scouts. You get some good info, other times you get bad info. I think it'd be better than same info for every team.

In other words, a more realistic scouting model. I like it. I really like the perceived vs actual with the perceived being more accurate with a better scouting staff no matter how the perceived is presented (ratings range, letter grade, whatever).

How about doing the same with progression? Or at least an option for it.

"One draft I drafted the #1 overall ranked player; WR 86OVR, a 83 OVR TE, 83 OVR DB, and a 77 FS. Those were my first 4 picks and my first 3 all had SS dev traits. Again, this was just me drafting against the CPU so I’m guessing that might not happen against 31 other teams but the scouting paid off."

Well that sucks. Scouting is so easy that the draft can be mastered in one play through. The user already has a huge advantage over the AI in roster management, why not double down and carry that over to the draft. I think I will pass this year.

Echoing this. This is something I'd very much like to see in the game.

At the very least their names should be editable. That would be huge.

I think that it would be nice if scouting went like this:

Coach Mode: You could send your scouts out to different regions and you would get a weekly report (and the reports would be in-depth, or vague depending on the quality of your scouting personnel). And you should be able to have a draft board that you could arrange "best overall" and "best by position" based off of the scouts recommendations, and info from other media sources.
Owner Mode: You could either send your scouts out, or you could manually scout for players one region a week, or you could base your trips off of scouts recommendations (because you can't be more than one place at a time). And if you do it manually, it should be deep, immersive and challenging (you should be able to see the players season stats up to that point, and get a basic grasp of what kind of person/player the kid is). You should also be able to look at the entire team (not just a single player or position), so you could possibly find a diamond in the rough. And you should be able to take notes on the players of interest, and have a draft board that you could arrange "best overall" and "best by position".

I just want a draft board where I can rank players accordingly.

I don't like the sound of the true draft value thing.
It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

Just for the sake of clarification, if something was mentioned in the blog I can discuss it with you guys, but if it was not I cannot until further notice.

                        Hey JP,

Thanks for answering questions, my overall take from the article was that the drafting is better but its much more rewarding when you have 31 other players drafting against you. Could you speak about the computers ai, did you notice any WTF moments? Do some draftees still have updates throughout the year about there play in college? And is the rookie shoulder pad glitch gone for good? Thanks.

Sorry man I can't really discuss this yet.

Well im just sad right now. It seems they just ruined my favorit offseason task. Being able to unlock the true draft value of a player is nothing but a disaster in my opinion.
But hey we all get to be Master drafters.
This year i will be voteing with my vallet and im not buying.
For the love of football, i do hope you will all do the same.
Madden football in my view, is dead for any player going for a sim like experience.

Wow the more I hear about CFM this year the more I feel "eh". A lot of things are being touted as improvements that are just streamlining.

JP have they done anything to fix rookies equipment? What I mean is will they still have giant shoulder pads and elbow pads from the 60's? Does every rookie wear a revolution helmet with an offensive lineman facemask? Do guys without dreads in their pictures have dreads on their player models?
