Re: We NEED to be able to CONTROL our CCM!
This is something I find ridiculous. I'd really like to know the reasoning behind this one, I don't think it would break xp or story lines.Comment

Re: We NEED to be able to CONTROL our CCM!
It's the same reason why CPUvCPU won't work. When you start the game it locks the controllers into the users side and doesn't allow you to move it to the other side. I know on last-gen if you had two controllers you could still change the uniforms but I only have one controller for XB1 so I'm not sure if that is still possible.Comment

Re: We NEED to be able to CONTROL our CCM!
Already explained above - resource allocation. There are only so many things Tiburon can work on in a given cycle, and for a myriad of reasons this is a low priority item on their list relative to the other features they've budgeted for, so it gets bumped.Comment

Re: We NEED to be able to CONTROL our CCM!
It should be simple:
- Allow us to create a draft class
- Allow us to edit the names, height, weight, etc. after the fact
- OR both
It can't be hard to implement.Comment

Re: We NEED to be able to CONTROL our CCM!
so then I'll ask again, how many resources could it possibly take to allow for this feature again? I mean they have a working version of the game that is coded to allow them to alter any stat. Why cant it be transferred to retail?Comment

Re: We NEED to be able to CONTROL our CCM!
I don't doubt that there are plenty of interesting and useful things that this community could do with the game if ratings editing was exposed. That said I am going to guess that the percentage of players who would take the time and effort to do this is extremely small compared to the total population of Madden online CFM players.
I would venture to guess that for Tiburon the concerns about fairness of play for the vast majority outweigh the wishes of more control by the small but vocal minority.Teams: Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Reds, Marshall Thundering Herd, Virginia Tech Hokies (2010 alum)Comment

Re: We NEED to be able to CONTROL our CCM!
CM maybe I didn't explain right..what I guess I'm trying to say is what kind of resource allocation? Weeks? Months?

Re: We NEED to be able to CONTROL our CCM!
I've seen people say this before but I don't understand it. What is fairness in a single player mode? If I wanted I could put the game on Rookie and jack with all the sliders and win 100-0. How's that any more fair than letting me edit players on whatever team to whatever ends I choose? Maybe I do make Teddy Bridgewater a 99 overall. Or maybe in the real NFL season a rookie breaks out and I want to bump his ratings some in my active franchise. Why should EA care which one I do?Comment

Re: We NEED to be able to CONTROL our CCM!
I don't know enough to give you a specific answer because I don't work at Tiburon, I don't know what the CFM code looks like, I don't know the general work process of their studio, so it's a bit impossible for me or anyone here to put a number on it. Sorry :-\
I do know enough to give some big-picture insight as to how they might arrive at the decisions they do with respect to what gets into the game and what doesn't, however, which is what I've attempted to offer here.Comment

Until one of these two features is added to a cfm mode, online or offline, I won't be buying madden.*AKA NFC3PO on the Madden Modding Discord*Comment

Re: We NEED to be able to CONTROL our CCM!
I've played every Madden for the last 14 years, primarily as a Franchise Mode fan, and by this point I've accepted that Franchise Mode is pretty much over. EA just doesn't care about it anymore. The money is in MUT - something I have no interest in whatsoever - and if we know anything about EA, it's that they put a significantly higher priority on milking casual fans for all the nickels and dimes they can rather than giving their most loyal fans a truly fulfilling game experience. And honestly, I guess I can't really fault them too much. Business-wise, it makes sense.
So let them have it. Truth be told I've really enjoyed Madden 15 and I'll be happy to pop it in when I need my football fix, but I'm not dropping another $60 on a Madden game, at least not for the rest of this console cycle.
The thing that really baffles me, having played Franchise for so long, is how barren the mode is compared to how it used to be. There is a lot to this year's mode that I like: the financial end of it is pretty detailed, cap management is engaging, trade AI is leaps and bounds better than it's ever been, and players regress at a (mostly) natural rate.
But there are essential aspects missing that have no excuse to be absent. I mean, how are there no offensive/defensive/ST coordinators in the game, when Madden Franchise Mode had them a DECADE ago? Why can't I rename my stadium or sell the naming rights? (With such a focus on finances, this is a weird omission, and it's another one of those things you used to be able to do, now leaving us to the inevitability of a league full of stadiums called things like "Falcons Field," etc.). Even the simplest things imaginable, like tracking which teams guys used to play for, and a coach's personal history...this stuff was in Madden 2002 for love of Jeff. I just don't get it.
But hey, at least they let us edit jersey numbers this year...Comment
