That's cause you are a cheesy player. Stop using the left stick to cut, it's unrealistic. Use the right stick for your jukes and you should be fine.

After playing the prologue and one "play now" quarter the main thing that stands out is the annoying frame rate and overall jerky feeling. It's really detracted from my experience so far.

What you hear and what I've seen/played are very different.

This happens to me as well when I play any game on my 55" tv. I'll switch it to my 32" tonight to see if it makes a difference.

Also, I've heard that switching the TV to "game mode" makes a lot of difference, but my TV was calibrated when I bought it and "game mode" just looks worse in regards to colors, sharpness, contrast, etc...

Yeah, game mode just seems to tweak my colors and stuff but doesn't help the frame rate. Reading back through the thread, some people have said that the framerate issues in the EA Access version aren't showing up in the retail. Not sure why that would be, but hopefully they're right.

Its definitely not running at 60 FPS. It was choppy during intro and at times during games. I think the new catching mechanic may cause part of this. If you do certain type of catchy it seems to go in slo mo for a second.

I think it's related to EA Access.

Why is the presentation almost EXACTLY like 15?
Intro, half-time and post game have not been upgraded at all and makes the game feel a little stale.
                          Am I missing something?

I played Madden 15 on EA Access a week ago so I could have a fresh comparison in my head. The new catch mechanics are good for an avg player like myself, but I can see them being abused.

So far the game feels so similar to 15 that I need to go through all 10 hours to see how I feel about it. I am a huge MUT fan, but do not know if it is worth paying for it, as it is almost exactly the same as last year.

The biggest thing that has frustrated me are the penalties on my Defense. Sometimes my guys do not even make it to the line (not on plays where they are running to catch up during a hurry up) and I have had encroachment called 3 times. There is no one close enough to the line of scrimmage to encroach.

After playing last night for awhile longer, I think this game feels a lot different that 15. All the players feel heavier and like they are actually running around on the field.

I enjoyed my time and I look forward to playing again tonight. I wasn't going to get the game but I will just for something to do and to get my football fix.

I noticed that too, the slow motion during catches. Kind of odd.

Here's my thing: for whatever reason I got rid of 15' early last year. I think because I was playing a few games at the same time. This year I'm pretty much waiting on games from here in out with no single game dominating my playing time.

There are 3 big things working against me buying madden 16'.

1.) 15' still feels fresh since I barely played it.
2.) I have 15' already downloaded with an entire year left of EA access.
3.) I'm REALLY in the mood / ready for some football, especially considering the state of the rest of my Philly franchises.

I used to be a strictly online player. Between the lag and glitching and leagues being so strict and uptight, I've relegated myself to offline GM and custom rosters and sliders. And in all honesty, couldn't be happier.

All in all this is my rant leading into my next 9 hours of playtime with 16'. My limited time has me agreeing with a lot of sentiments that the game feels like 15' in some areas and minor-to-no upgrades in other areas.
