Thanks. I just got the game and went straight to online. Then I noticed the skills trainer. Very helpful for defensive adjustments.Comment

Yeah the skills trainer is sweet. Just wished MUT had more trust in terms of, player wins 3 in a row then faces cornerbacks with +5 +9 speed over wide receivers [emoji19]

Teach me how to run. I don't know when to use my speed burst. I know to be patient and not use it till you cross the line of scrimmage. But sometimes I'll use it and my ball carrier (be it running back/ receiver/ return man) seem to come to a stop. What am I doing wrong. It gets frustrating. I just can't seem to run for the life of me. I'm playing on All Pro default sliders.

When you wanna make cuts with your right analog stick, for example, you do not wanna be using speed burst, so let go of it before you make a cut.Comment

Actually, in M16, using the speed burst behind the LOS is good this year, it doesn't cause the defenders to disengage like in M15...It is good to speed burst behind the LOS when running outside to beat defenders to the edge; when running inside you wanna speed burst through the hole, so just as you see the hole open, speed burst through it...

Up is quick pass(quick slants), down is run, left is deep pass(4 verts) , and right is play action.Comment

Re: Madden 16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
Wow what a fun game! Starting to get a grip of it and pull together some controlled wins. I don't have the greatest knowledge of NFL & have gained some helpful insight here and also inside the game with the skills trainer.
Just a few questions
- I've seen plays irl where the QB will throw out wide to (i think) the RB/HB, who then throws up field. Is there a play in Madden to do this or does everything come out of the QB?
- In the attacking plays in playbook, there are blue running lines - what are these?
Also in defense, there are either yellow, dark blue or light blue circles where your player will get into, do these colours represent anything imperticular?
CheersComment

2. Different colors represent different type of zone defenses.
Light blue = flat zone. Guards the area near the line of scrimmage between the numbers and the sideline.
Dark blue = deep zone. Guards the area 10+ yards downfield. Varies on width depending on the play call. They might be in deep quarter, third, half or "free" zone. Generally, their role is to stay in front of the deepest receiver in their part of the field.
Yellow = Hook Zone. Guards the area 5-10 yards downfield in the middle of the field, between the hashes.
Purple = Hook to Curl Zone. Starts as a hook zone and gradually fades further to the sideline area 5-10 yards downfield. Designed to take away 10 yard curl routes by outside receivers.
Orange = QB Spy. Watches the QB and prevents him from scrambling.----------------------

Re: Madden 16 Teach Me How/Strategy Thread
I have noticed on the offensive side of the ball, I can't figure out how to sub players in for specific plays? For instance, I used to be able to press R1 on PS4 and bring in my backup RB or swap QB's for a play if I desired...now I can't seem to figure it out?
R1 still works for defense it appears.Comment
