Re: In-Game Progression Bug Tied To Drive Goals (Will Be Patched, Says Developer)

I was playing quite a bit the cfm. And this bug makes the game unplayable. If any team gets a lead it start to be like a snow ball.
The ratings are increasing at alarming way. One or two points is ok but I have seen over 10 points. I really hope they don't just capped at 99. Because that will be the same as not fixing it. Tanheill has 100 sma and 102 medium acc. It would be the same if they capped at 99. The problem is not that he goes away form the charts. The problem is that he is increasing at an alarming rate. 2 points it's ok. But not that much. Even in a good day he can't have Brady's ratings.

The best thing to do is wait for the patch. It will address this and several other CFM bugs that were brought to light early.

I really hope they also address some of the glaring commentary issues as well, like the constant talking about a QB returning from injury every single play after they return. Also so many wrong lines etc....pretty sloppy.

But again, once the patch hits the game will be golden. On the field it is pretty amazing for me this year. Really balanced.

Has anyone else run into the glitch where it doesn't save the game you just played? Clicking to leave the game takes you back to the main menu instead of your connected franchise which loses all progress. I love playing the game, but losing out on my progress is starting to be a real killjoy.

Agree the play now games are excellent in this year game. I play all pro and it plays awesome. The problem is that there are many bugs. Some big and some aren't but still. too many bugs on this year version.

Hopefully the patch doesn't screw anything. It happened before.

Ok I was reading this that the bug is actually that the ratings are going beyond 99 scale. Now that's is problem to me. I feel the real issue is that the ratings are increasing more than it should. Does someone knows if they are tweaking the boost or just capping it at 99?

We don't know, but logically, IMO, they should do both. I also think that every player should be able go up a maximum of 10 point in OVR so that teams can play over their heads, but not necessarily turn into an All-Century Team.

I disagree. 10 points makes qb like Mariotta accurate as t. Brady. He has short and medium as 89 and 90 already.

He complete 3 passes and then a td and he became t. Brady.

That change the gameplay way to much and also makes you go for the weekly goals instead of actually getting and developing a real QB.

To me the rating variation should be around 2 or 3 and if you a really having a great game go to 5. Not more.

And this should not affect all players in the field. Now you got Cb, S, DL playing like elite players with 10 boost or more on some situations.

If it were for me I would just turn this "feature" off. The game plays PERFECT on play now and there you don't have any boost.

And in there you still have low rated players sometimes playing all pro games. But in a realistic way.

10 points Ovr doesn't mean a 10 point boost in every rating, but why can't Mariotta play like Brady for one game? Anyway that's just me playing Devil's Advocate, I actually 100% agree with all the points you've made.

Yea I mean Tom Brady played like Brandon Weeden last year against the Chiefs. So those types of games actually do happen just not every game.

Madden ratings operate in a range from around 75 to 99, so 10 points in any category are a LOT in a 25 point spread...

They go up. But they don't go down. Also when you control the player is too easy to get rating boost.

complete 3 consecutive passes. Throw 1 td and have a 10 point lead. That's it. You have a low rated qb playing as t. Brady.

Ratings boost need to be harder to get and should not be related to weekly goals. Getting 3 first downs doesn't make me t. Brady accurate.

About the overall. Is harder to get 10 ovr than 10 points on specific ratings. So if you have 10 points overall it means you have several 10 points rise on other areas. Depending on which area you are increasing.

I had 102 and 100 on short and pass acc and tanehill was 9 points overall.

He had 17 and 15 increase from "normal" form.

I was just saying players in the NFL can have great and bad games. Look at Brady last year. He was **** in his first 4 games and then after that he was an MVP player. So things can happen over a series of time. Also look at the career of Matt Flynn the guy is still in the league because he had 1 huge game in GB like 5 or 6 years ago.

Also I agree with everything else you said.

I'm not saying that they can't have good and bad games. What I'm against is the way is being reproduce and how easy is to get raiting boost.

We pay $60 to basically test an unfinished product. It is the harsh truth of sportsgaming. With each patch, they should refund a portion of the purchase price...lol...but what business sense would that make, huh? So sad.
