well I sure hope you're wrong. the problem isn't just the ratings going above 100 its the fact that everyone on the team is getting giant boosts. it would be ok in my mind for there to be one player or two on the team whos playing lights out and has a large ratings increase, but for literally every player on the team to become 90+ overall is what makes this bug so damn ugly. the ratings being over 100 just makes it worse.

Is the main issue that realistic quarters (realistic number of plays) gives guys too much confidence so everyone is going to be at or near 100 regardless during the season?"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: In-Game Progression Bug Tied To Drive Goals (Will Be Patched, Says Developer)
all i know and can say for sure is that when i start a game off really good, theres a good chance all my players ratings get boosted to insane levels which leads to a totally unfair game that snowballs out of control.
I haven't done any tests or recorded any data on it (my apologies) so I may not be the one to go to for questions. Part of the reason is I like to pretend it just doesn't happen. Like I wont look at my depth chart I'll just imagine my team is having a great game. Cause when I see those jacked ratings it just ruins it for me. Thats usually how I cope with bugs like this, and am able to enjoy the game.Comment

im not sure how much quarter length affects it, or confidence. there is probably people on this thread who know more about it then me at this point - I seem to have just been the one who reported it first.

Okay, I'm intrigued:
How is this possible with the issues outlined in both this thread and this:
http://www.operationsports.com/forum...-too-soon.html
I'm used to having to deal with flaws that require inspired workarounds and having to let more than a few things slide, but these issues appear to be well beyond the norm...
Any detail you (or anyone) can provide that makes single player CCM even remotely satisfying for multiple seasons would likely reel me back in the boat...
I was playing as Dallas against the Giants and jumped out to an early 17-3 2nd Quarter lead. I checked their ratings and guys like Romo, Dez and Smith and some 100+ ratings for me at that point.
After checking Romo was pretty much Romo for the rest of the game and since he's pretty accurate anyway, it was kind of hard to tell anything. Howver, he didn't put up demigod numbers or anything. Dez made some spectacular Dez-like plays, but did drop a couple of balls when the DB hit him and also some DB's made plays by tipping the ball away from him. Towards the end of the game I purposely tried to run the ball behind Smith a couple of times and only got short gains. He certainly didn't seem to be some sort of monster out there or anything.
As for the game, New York came back and tied the game 23-23 as time expired. They elected to receive the ball first in OT and drove down for a relatively easy TD to win the game. Honestly, the players (ratings wise) didn't seem that much different than any other game of Madden I've played.
When I first read about this I was fully expecting QB's to all play like Madden and RB's to be trucking defenders like Christian Okoye in Temco Bowl, but that wasn't the case. Obviously it an extremely small sample size and the true test will be if Weeden plays like Romo, but after my last game I'm somewhat optimistic about this particular issue. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Question - is this issue platform-specific?
I ask because I did not see any extreme ratings increases while playing my first CFM game last night on XBOX One. Granted, extremely small sample size, but I figured I'd report what I saw.
Also, it was a preseason game, so that also could be a factor.Comment

You can only reset confidence when it's below 50... When it gets above 50, it doesn't work that way

thats a lot different then what I've seen. there is NO question in my mind that the boosted ratings are in fact, boosted. they seem very accurate to me. you mentioned tony romo playing normal and that might be true but there is a lot more variables in the passing game. where you will really see the difference is in the running game. with demarco murray on my eagles franchise, everytime the bug happened i broke or came just short of the NFL record for rushing yards in a game. and that was without even trying (for the sake of realism I didnt want to break the record). that should tell you something about my experience with the bug.Comment

Got an answer from Clint Oldenburg on Twitter that they are aware of the bug and he's not sure if it can be fixed server side. He's on vacation. https://twitter.com/clintoldenburg/s...87550342332417Comment
