Arian Foster isn't slow, in the real world he's not even moving

Can someone please explain to me how to best use L2 as I've never really understood that completely..

Not sure if L2 is LT for Xbox but I use it when

      1. I'm in open space, and there are maybe 2 defenders in pursuit of me, coming from an angle. When the defenders get in range, LT + L/R gives me the animation where the runner will kind of do a hopping side step.

      2. When behind the LOS, just as I receive the hand off, if the hole is closed or there is traffic in the way, holding LT then L/R, the back will seemingly come to this like screeching halt, and change directions

      3. On the goalline, LT + X, the back will jump over the offensive/defensive line

      4. LT + Double juke, makes the runner do some slow precise double juke, I think it's best used when one on one, but I rarely use it because of how slow it is. To me it allows the defense to catch up.

      5. I can't remember if LT + back juke did anything different than a regular back juke but I'll say give it a try. Also, LT + trucking.

Generally the only time I use LT is for those first 3 scenarios listed. They should have it in the Skills Trainer to kind of mess around with.

the run game definitely takes practice and to be honest a lot of skill. I seemed to get better every game. used to run into my own players and lose yards a lot. but now because of familiarity with both the controls and the playbook i can dominate. its one thing to become an expert at avoiding your blockers/hitting the hole but its another to know when and how to use the different moves at your disposal like the lethal double juke which i use practically every run. my advice is to practice practice practice. and maybe trade for demarco murray...

as for the CPU run game, I have their run blocking at 100 and its still very rare for them to have a big game against me. the only time it seems to happen is when the CPU players get the drive goals bug and become unstoppable. its either they get no yards or theres no way to stop them, basically.
after reading others posts on the last few pages, its worth adding that I never used the precision modifier, and I always hold turbo right when I get the handoff. it may help people who are new at running the ball but i can tell u right now its not needed and only slows you down. and the precision modifier jukes etc are all worse then the normal moves cause they slow your player down. you shouldnt ever be using the precision modifier, in my opinion.

I respectfully disagree with your statement

The precision modifier is meant for times that you need to break down, wait for the play to develop, read the defense, pick your hole, and take BIGGER (lateral) steps to get there.

The precision modifier is another tool to be used durnig the game and has greatly helped my running game.

Murray and the Eagles have a great line and a philosophy that plays to the "hold turbo at the handoff" approach but, most teams are not as lucky.

Some of the teams with weaker O-lines have an issue with defensive penetration and lineman/linebackers getting in the backfield right after the snap. Teams with weaker Olines also have issues with holes closing/not staying open as long.

This is where the modifier takes precedent as you use this trigger to help take the bigger steps and not the canned "jump jukes" that the r-stick is used for.

Using this trigger helps players cut in and out with little steps to help keep balance w/out over stepping as well.

In my opinion skipping the LT/L2 button completely is handicapping yourself.

I was not very open to the idea of it at first in M15 but, after some time of playing around with it and getting a hang of the advanced controls I am a big believer.

Different teams and coaches have different philosophies and styles so it is accurate for us "couch QB's" to play differently and experience positive results either way. To each their own

How is your CPU running game? what Yds per game you are allowing?

Are you playing Play now or CFM games?

For some reason on play now the AI seems to run better than on CFM. I´m really worried about this.
