Of course it's an excuse man. But it's a valid excuse, all games have bugs. The severity of the bug to you is what determines if it's a game killing bug or something you can live with. The guys that only play MUT aren't looking at CFM and worrying about the issues we're having. It's all perspective when it comes to all of these games. The 2k series, baseball, hockey, whatever, they all have bugs that will either make you not want to play or decide they aren't something that impact your personal enjoyment of the game.

But madden is the only one that tends to have at least 1 major problem with franchise mode ever year. Remember last year the money issue with owner mode? While it never got fixed last year and I still don't know if it is fixed this year or not. Not only that but the show and NBA 2k tend to get better ever year and don't really regress in any way where madden even if the game gets better over all some thing tends to end up being a problem that was never a problem before. Like last year the sack issue was that a issue in madden 25? No it was not. The you had another year where guys would fumble like 20 times a game. Then that ended up getting fixed and like another year or 2 latter you got super line backers. Then later robo QB so its always like 1 step forward 2 steps back this year.

If they don't have a release date, which given the nature of what they are doing, the probably don't, what else do you want?

Not sure that's true with the Show, which by the way is my favorite game ever. It's had some pretty major progression and regression bugs, as well as off season signing shenanigans and roster management/lineup issues that make a 32 team franchise pretty much a necessity.

Do you know what the criteria are before hand so you can avoid hitting that threshold
? Are you negatively affected or penalized for not reaching said drive goals? Are the goals easy to attain? I for one will never go out of my way to try to meet some player specific goal to get some sort of bump. It's a really stupid thing to implement in a sports simulation. It needs to be able to be turned off or be in a different mode like MUT or DC, not CFM.

I turned off all the goal criteria alerts so to be honest I don't even know what they are.

I also am not a big fan of the RPG/Goal based XP system, never have been don't think I ever will be. One more reason why I only play single seasons.

This true missed this tweet..still hurts though..this kind of makes sense though..last year I remember the sack issue wasn't noticed due to them mostly testing on 6-8 minute quarters..now question is no acc clock?

Even that I took last year has we just cant fix sacks in till madden 16 because are you meaning to tell me that you couldn't see how the CPU would take sacks after holding on to the ball for like 20 seconds? Do they really think QB just hold on hold on to the ball and never pass the ball like that?

I'm sorry but it's ridiculous to release a boxed version of a game, and then come out and say oh this mode isn't actually ready, you're gonna have to wait to start it. Give more than that, or don't say anything at all if you don't have a firm timeframe

Man this is disappointing. I'm the commish of a 32 man league that has been together for 5+ years, and we've never had to go through something like this.

We are going to be waiting likely until Week 2 of the NFL season to start. Absolutely mind boggling that EA seems to be shoving aside one of their core groups and releasing a broken mode.

Why not find 300+ passionate Madden users and release a beta in June and tell them "find every bug in CFM"? It makes no sense why we have to wait now for nearly a month to play the mode most of us only buy this game for.

Ive been saying this, seems to fall on deaf ears. You want it tested well , put it in the hands of people who actually spend lost of time with it every single year, have a strong drive to make it the best they can thru their help, and let them Help!

I play 15 with 15-18 second accelerated clock run off. I guess if I can get 120-130 plays per game I can play less minutes by not playing with the accelerated clock...

I think, but don't quote me you can get pretty close with 8 mins and no accelerated clock. I think that's about what I used to play before the advent of the accelerated clock.

Lets just think about a few things before everyone jumps off the bridge. First, how thorough do they test CFM? I mean really, if you think about it whom is paid to sit there and play the game as extensively as some of us do? Do these players even know the ins and outs of football and what stats/atts should be there and what shouldn't be there? What are they paid to look/test for?

We jump all over EA, the game testers and the devs really not knowing how the process works. You sit me, an avid gamer for nearly 23 years in front of this game and say "play it" I wouldn't catch half the issues with it because I dont study football stats/atts as deep as some people do.

I understand many of you including myself have spent the $60+ on this game and cant even play a CFM correctly, however what could you, or anyone could have done to change our current situation? I don't know a lick about programming, and all I can say is we shouldn't point fingers when we have no idea on where to point those fingers.

From the past experiences I have had with Madden games and the developers of this game that come onto this site, this is the the most positive experience I have had. I say that because this is the first time I have purchased Madden since Madden '12. Maybe its because someone from The Show is now on the team and they have a stellar track record, or maybe I bought into the mumbo jumbo that some of you think they give each and every year.

One thing for sure is that these issues are far from problematic based upon issues I have had in the past. I remember having to go through and release "F" potential players for EVERY TEAM, every offseason, because the CPU refused to release them. I also remember when punters were subbed in as guards and tackles.

Patience and an understanding is what we all need to practice. We really shouldn't be sitting here saying we have an non-working product, cause we really do. None of the issues this year in CFM make the game unplayable in a true way. You are able to put the disc in, play CFM, and yes you may not like the rookie atts that come through, or your team clears 100 in certain att lines during a game, but just be thankful it doesnt freeze or load up at all...that's a truly unplayable game.

We also need to be thankful we have a option to voice our displeasure, and not to mention be thankful we can go onto a forum and point out these issues. Really think about it, in the past if you got stuck with a bad game, you were stuck with a bad game.

The show is my favorite sports game and I am not even a big baseball fan really only watch baseball come playoff time. That is how great that game is. I do know that the game has issues with older guys decline way to much like 20 points in a season and nba 2k had a problem before it got fixed last year where like ever player at 30 would get worse no matter how good of a year they had. I found that to be a killer but it is still not has bad has the issues CFM has right now and mlb the show game play wise ever year gets better and doesn't really get worse in any way other then mlb 14 I thought went kind of backwards but that was also the first year for mlb the show on ps4.

That's not the point however. It was stated that franchise mode gets better and better in the show and doesn't have any major bugs. All I am saying is that's not true. For me as well I don't think Franchise mode in the show has taken any leaps forward either, and as I said 32 team control is still pretty much required.

For this years version from a gameplay perspective I am not sure how it's not better. I think it's the best onfield version of the Madden in like 10 years. That's purely subjective however.
